Also behind the loose tooth, there is another tooth growing behind it... is this normal? This has happened to so suddenly and hes got really cute straight teeth.... is this a problem already, or is going to need braces later on?..thanks :)
My 5 year old son%26#039;s first tooth is loose.... is it too early for him to be losing teeth?
The age of your son isnt really a big factor in his teeth loss. My daughter had a similar situation, except hers was in the front, where the tooth grew in before the old one left. Hers looked hidious and i was worried sick. The dentist just told us that it was time for the baby tooth to come out and he had her practice loosening it up, it wasn%26#039;t even a loose tooth yet! So then the old one came out and the new one grew in. Now weither or not he will need braces is something only a dentist will know for sure. Children grow and change so much as does their skull and facial structures. Most childrens teeth are a little crooked but like i said, a lot of things can factor into needing braces like accidents, wisdom teeth problems, and heridity that lead. Keep him brushing and to a dentist evey 6months and you will be on the right track for optimum dental health for your child.
Reply:No. It is a perfectly normal age to be losing teeth at.
Reply:No, this is very normal. My brother lost his first tooth when he was two. The tooth behind it is his big boy permanent tooth.
Reply:It%26#039;s not too early and, if he already has a tooth growing in behind it, the baby tooth SHOULD be loose. The tooth should fall out on it%26#039;s own and the permanent one will drift down into its place. It might help for him to wiggle the baby tooth a bit to encourage it to come out. Don%26#039;t worry - it won%26#039;t hurt anything. It%26#039;s perfectly normal to start losing teeth at 5. =)
Reply:I started losing teeth early like that. I also got teeth early as an infant (at a few months). My teeth are fine. I needed braces, but just on the front 8 teeth on top and bottom, not my entire mouth. I also only had them on for a little over a year. I also had almost all of my adult teeth by 8 started getting my wisdom teeth at 10 (12 year molars at 8)! The orthodontist wouldn%26#039;t believe my mom when she told him, until he saw them himself. I still have them with no problems, and I%26#039;m 26 now. I don%26#039;t know what they do with kids now, but when I had braces, a lot of kids had them on for years. I%26#039;m sure he%26#039;s fine. All kids are different. I knew one guy who had to get the rest of his baby teeth pulled at about age 18, and he%26#039;s fine, too. Don%26#039;t sweat it, but take him to a dentist regularly.
Reply:If another tooth is growing behind it, then I%26#039;d say the loose tooth is late for departure. I had perfect straight baby teeth and the same happened to me. So yes he will need braces. Start saving.
Reply:No it%26#039;s not to early..and the new tooth coming in is pushing the baby tooth out....nothing to worry about. It is however, a bit early to tell whether he%26#039;ll need braces or not. Got some years before that%26#039;s an issue...Enjoy your lil guy!
Reply:doesn%26#039;t really matter
nearly everyone gets braces later on anyway
the tooth is probably loose because the other tooth is pushing it out
I%26#039;d only be worried if his adult teeth have any problems
ask your dentist if your still unsure about these answers
Reply:It is the right time for him to be losing teeth and it is normal for another tooth to be showing already. The other tooth coming in is what pushes the old one out. It is too early to tell if he will need braces yet or not. I wouldnt start worrying quite yet.
Reply:OK what ever one here says will not have the right answer believe me . Because we can%26#039;t see the way you son teeth are . And what way the look. But you will have to just go to a dentist . You son will not be a scared . As long as you don%26#039;t tell him about a injection .
Reply:No that is the normal age

Help our dogs teeth are loose. He's gone to the dentist ever since he was little.?
Our dogs tongue hangs out slightly no matter what ... and that is contributing to his loose teeth. They are healthy but the gums are not. Our vet said it%26#039;s common for dogs to have this problem when they are older. What should we do. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Help our dogs teeth are loose. He%26#039;s gone to the dentist ever since he was little.?
Some breeds are more prone to dental issues. It is not uncommon to have the problem teeth extracted. (pulled) to promote a healthier mouth. I have known some pom%26#039;s whom have had to have every one of their teeth removed and they do well on a soft diet. If his teeth are not causing him pain then he%26#039;s fine for now. But a full extraction may be in his future.
Best of luck to you.
Reply:sorry, not much can be done since this is natural, but if you think there is something that can be done, get another opinion from a different vet than the one you go to.
Maybe there is a way :-) Good luck my friend :-)
Reply:What the heck does %26quot;he%26#039;s gone to the dentist ever since he was little%26quot; mean? Dogs don%26#039;t go to the dentist.
If the dog has loose teeth, there is something wrong with the teeth or gums and it need attention by the vet!!!! Dental disease is COMMON in older dogs, but does not need to happen. Good care of the dog and the teeth and gums can prevent this.
Yes, there are veterinary dentists. They do things like implants, crowns, and other specialized procedures. They do not see the average dog for %26quot;check-ups%26quot;!!!!!
Reply:What type of dog?
If a Chihauhau or any part of, they tend to have teeth falling out with age.
So what specific type of dog,... and never heard of dog%26#039;s having a %26quot;dentist%26quot;.
Reply:The vet may have to look at the other loose teeth. His poor tongue will always hang out, because there is no teeth holding his tongue in.
Try soft foods, watered down, not puppy food, because that will give him diarrhea. Anyway, soft foods is good for a dog with bad teeth.
Take him to the vet and he may need to be put on antibiotics if any teeth are infected. Good luck. He will be fine.
Reply:when is the last time your dog had a dental cleaning? not just brushing his teeth, but actually having him anesthetized and having them scaled? plaque and tarter that build up underneath the gum line are usually the cause for loose teeth and some breeds are more prone to this.
advice- have bloodwork done on your dog to make sure he is healthy, then have a dental done by your vet. see if your vet has a product called doxi-robe gel or something similar that they can pack around the loose teeth to try and help them tighten up.
also, to the person who said dogs dont have dentists? um, yeah, believ it or not, there are acutally veterinary dentists who do nothing else but teeth.
Reply:Have the teeth pulled. All of them. You don%26#039;t want the dog to have heart disease which is what gum disease will cause. Dogs without teeth do fine. Their infections are gone, their hearts are safer and all the constant problems with teeth are gone. They eat just fine without them.

yes your son is at the age when he should start loosing his teeth. My son would grow teeth behind his baby teeth and have 2 sets at the same time, then when he would loose his baby teeth, his adult teeth straightened themselves out perfectly. He now has a perfect set of adult teeth. You nor your dentist will know if your son will need braces until ALL his baby teeth are out. Don%26#039;t let them tell you different. My dentist told me my 8 year old daughter needed braces. I took her to an orthodontist and he said my dentist was wrong, she wasn%26#039;t even done loosing her baby teeth. Now her teeth are straighting themselves out as well.
Reply:My daughter started loosing her teeth at 6. Her adult teeth have always grown in first pushing out her baby teeth. As did mine when I was little. I don%26#039;t think it%26#039;s going to mean he will need braces, but many people do anyway.
Reply:My second son had the same thing happen to him. He lost his first tooth 6 weeks after he turned 5. If his baby tooth does not fall out soon, then call the dentist. His adult tooth moved nicely into place after his baby tooth feel out.
Reply:This is all normal. Make sure you take him for his regular dental check-ups and all should be fine. If there are any problems your dentists should catch them.

Reply:It is normal for kids to start loosing there teeth at 5 years old. The tooth behind that one is probably his permanent tooth and thats the reason for the loose tooth. Yes thats normal but if you have been taking him for his cleanings than they should have taken a full mouth x-ray. They can tell by that if he will need braces. Like if his permanent teeth are too big or maybe he has too many teeth. Just ask your dentist the next time you go about the braces.
Reply:Sounds fine to me. My daughter lost her first tooth this July when she was just 5. She lost 3 more pretty quick after that. Don%26#039;t worry if they come in a bit weird at first. His mouth will grow and they will settle. But he should be seeing a dentist. Just to make sure all is well..
Reply:My son lost his first tooth at 5 years old. He is 6 now and has lost 4!
Reply:The adult tooth %26quot;pushes%26quot; out the baby tooth. Soon the child will be able to feel the crown of the adult tooth in the gum tissue with his/her tongue after the baby tooth falls out.
Wait until all the baby teeth fall out and all the adult teeth are in place before you get braces. Adult teeth are a different size than baby teeth... so while you have two different sizes of teeth, or some teeth are not all present, a kid%26#039;s mouth will look somewhat awkward anyway.
Reply:5 or 6 is the right age. You wont be able to determine if braces are needed until around 11 or 12.

Is it bad for your mouth or teeth if you pull them out when they're loose versus the dentist pulling them out?
My step-daughter has been told by her mother and step-father that it%26#039;s bad for your teeth/mouth to have ANYONE BUT the dentist pull out your loose teeth. I personally think it%26#039;s just another lie that%26#039;s being told to my step-daughter to make my husband seem like a bad person to want to pull her loose teeth out. Anyone out there know if it hurts your mouth or teeth in any way if you pull your loose teeth out yourself versus spending a bill and having the dentist do it?
Is it bad for your mouth or teeth if you pull them out when they%26#039;re loose versus the dentist pulling them out?
When we were little, my family%26#039;s dentist said to let the teeth fall out naturally, don%26#039;t yank them out. The new tooth is pushing up, only when there is signs on an xray that it is impacted or going in a odd direction do you need to do anything.
Now that I am grown, my Grandfather has periodontal disease - his dentist advised if the tooth is loose and hurts, %26quot;let him try to pull it out, and if he can%26#039;t I will if the pain increases.%26quot; A dentist who has experience with dementia patients is a Godsend, btw.
Basically let the loose teeth work their way out without a yank from the string on the door or dentist. The later can actually be more painful, and definitely more costly.
Reply:I agree with your assessment. If the tooth is lose, it will normally fall out on it%26#039;s own, so it%26#039;s not going to do much to pull it out yourself. Now if you%26#039;re yanking so hard you need pliers, then don%26#039;t mess with it. Otherwise it%26#039;s fine.
Reply:When I was younger, I would always pull my own teeth out. They have to be really loose though. It does hurt quite a bit, it helps if you pull it out quickly, otherwise your just tugging on the nerve which can cause quite a lot of pain.
Reply:I never once had a dentist pull any of my baby teeth. When they were loose they would just fall out, or I would wiggle them out. People always said my teeth were going to be crooked because I would pull them out myself. I have a perfectly straight smile. Genetics is what determines the appearence of permanent teeth.
Reply:Sure it is . You could leave a part of the root in there and develop infection ..or worse .
Reply:Most children DO lose their %26quot;baby%26quot; teeth without the benefit of a dentist. I myself had such long roots most of my baby teeth had to be pulled (the other ones grew in behind them--I can still remember feeling double rows of teeth), but I did proudly %26quot;pull%26quot; a few of them myself (lost one just eating hard taffy or carmel--it just %26quot;popped out%26quot; to my amazement and surprise, didn%26#039;t hurt a bit, barely bled....HINT HINT), and there was no difference as far as the healing process or anything. All of my teeth grew in exactly the same whether they were pulled by the dentist or myself.

My horse has loose teeth so he needs to eat his hay from the floor......?
....however he keeps dragging it round his stable and pooing on it! need a large tub to put his hay in that is sturdy enough not to keep getting dragged round his stable. I have tried hay racks, bags, etc but these are not easy from him to eat from (his front teeth are loose so he can%26#039;t eat from a haynet). I wanted a wall mounted manger/trough but the only ones i can find are either too small as they are for feed/water only, or they are too expensive; the haybar is approx £60 and i don%26#039;t think he would like putting his head in one anyway! Any ideas where i can get something large and strong enough????
My horse has loose teeth so he needs to eat his hay from the floor......?
One of mine did that too, an expensive hobby!!
I fixed the problem by getting a peice of chipboard and sectioning off the corner of the stable with it.
A low peice, only about a foot and a half high with a gap at the bottom so you can clean the corner regulary,
This way most of the hay is kept in the corner, there are no handles for him to get his hooves into (another trick mine learnt)
and no buckets to get squashed or kicked about.
He still eats from the floor and the hay is loose so he does not have to pul it out of a net.
Reply:Tried the vets at all.
Reply:How about visiting your local GARDEN centre, I know it sounds a strange thing to do, BUT they have lots of heavy weight tubs in all different sorts of shapes and sizes, there meant for flowers and the such like, but maybe you could find something there that will help and not be too expensive...alternatively why not drill and screw a plastic tub to the wall at floor level. Also if your not already doing this extra calcium in his food could help with his teeth.
Reply:a horse i used to look after had a similar problem. he used an old ceramic sink which we had bolted to his wall, we used it for his hay as well as his feed. alternatively, just put smaller amounts of hay on the floor so he doesn`t waste it
Reply:use a blender
Reply:A heavy duty plastic potting tub might be the go if you want something to attach to the wall. Another thing I%26#039;ve used (for feeding from the floor) is an old tyre with a round bit of tin bolted onto one side. They%26#039;re surprisingly heavy, and not all that easy for the horse to throw around.
Is feeding him chaff rather than hay a possibility? Are his teeth bad enough that he might be having problems with hay no matter how you%26#039;re offering it, and that%26#039;s why it%26#039;s being strewn about the place? (Plus, given that he%26#039;s dragging it around his stable now, is he likely to pull his hay out of a raised feeder and do the same thing?)
Reply:The problem you are going to have is that even if you put it in a tub, he will still take it out of there and drag it all around the stable. I would love to feed my horse on the ground, but I have the same problem. My friend uses a tub and stands it in a tyre, you know the middle bit. That way the tub stays put and can%26#039;t be moved around the stable. Maybe that is worth a try?
Reply:I would get a large tub from a garden centre or the likes (the ones we use as skip buckets) and fill those with hay.
You can get clips to attach water buckets to the wall so the same clips could be used to secure the tub?? Also I am sure that I have seen something like a metal grill that you can buy from tack shops (or on line shops) that you can put in a tub to stop them pulling too much hay out in one go...
Good luck (my horse also does the same with his hay if it is loose so I have to use nets.)
Reply:get the dentist out to see him and ask them...

Reply:How old is this horse? Is it thin? i%26#039;ve cared for several of my beloved equines thru their last years. When i see any sort of teeth problems (dropping wads of half-chewed food or grain) i not only have the vet out to float the teeth regularly--if the teeth are loose, the animal is in pain and often, having them floatedwill not only smooth sharp edges, but will probly knock out the loose ones. I feed a diet of Nutrina Senior horse pelleted feed for nutrition, and ground beet pulp- not shredded- (soaked with water) for roughage. a feedbag is often helpful, so the horse doesn%26#039;t loose the feed on the floor. Don%26#039;t leave a source of water available to the horse while he is wearing the feed bag- they can actually drown in some bags if they dip their nose into water.
this diet kept my horses shiney and in good flesh for all their days.
Reply:get your horses teeth looked at by a expert, also eating off the floor is a good thing, most horses will spread there food around and theres not much you can do about it. but i would defantly get the horses teeth looked at.

Retainer can cause loose teeth ?
Well I Wear my retainer every 3 days, I dont wear it everyday. When i put it on it dont fully fit my teeth, and it hurts after i put them on. So is that gonna cause me to get loose teeth?
Retainer can cause loose teeth ?
It hurts and your teeth feel loose because the teeth are moving out of position when you%26#039;re not wearing the retainers.
You need to wear them every day for at least the first six months until your teeth settle into position. When you%26#039;ve worn them for about 6 months or so then you should be able to just wear them at night.
At the rate you%26#039;re going right now, one day you%26#039;ll try to put those retainers in and not be able to get them in at all. Then you have to get new retainers made or (gasp!) have crooked teeth again.
Reply:you should wear your retainer every day or not at all. i don%26#039;t wear mine either. if i do wear it once in a while it will force my teeth back where they are suppose to be. that hurts and it makes them loose. if i wore it all the time except for meals...then they would be forced back where they belong and then stay there and stop hurting and tighten back up in the gum.
Reply:put it on everyday soo ur teeth can get use to it. mine did that when i first go it my teeth would hurt. but then i got use to it. and if u dont ur teeth might shift and get messed up again.
Reply:if it doesnt fit get your orthodontist to fit you for one that does fit. and dont wear it every 3 days wear it all the time or at least consistently.. like every night

Retainer can cause loose teeth?
Its been a while like 4 months or so since i have worn my retainers, so i decided yesterday would be a good time to wear them again, so i put them on for both upper and lower jaw , they hurt so bad, they still fit though. But the next morning when i tried to take them off, they hurt even worse and i felt one of my teeth in the back became loose as if is going to fall off , but it is still intact when i felt it. Is this normal will my teeth feel like its normal again or do i have to see a dentist. Should i also keep wearing the retainers
Retainer can cause loose teeth?
What is happening is that the teeth actually do become slightly loose because they are moving back in position because your retainer is moving them to fit properly. You do not need to see your orthodontist unless you cannot put the retainer in. You need to continue wearing your retainer as directed. The pain and soreness should go away in about three days, until then just take ibuprophen to help with the pain, but wear you retainer.

Molar Removed/Surgicl Implant/Loose Teeth?
Help! Two years ago, I had a failed root canal and had to have a lower molar pulled. They warned me that my other teeth could loosen, sadly, they have. I don%26#039;t know what to do. Is it too late to have an implant, and save these loose teeth? Is there anything I can do? I am so depressed over this and feel lost. I am trying not to eat on that side, but at this point, I don%26#039;t know if they can save my teeth.
Molar Removed/Surgicl Implant/Loose Teeth?
You need a thorough dental evaluation. If you live close to a major dental school, you should go there. Otherwise, It may be best that you consult with a oral and maxillofacial surgeon.
I%26#039;m truly sorry to hear about your situation. I would recommend the University of Michigan Dental School. But, I%26#039;m not sure if it would be feesible for you to get treatment at the U of M. If you live closeby Michigan. U of M maybe able to help you
Reply:An implant cannot save lose teeth. Implants are actual replacemnt teeth. Mobile teeth can be howeve saved depending on the grade ( nature ) of mobility by gum surgeries and bone grafts. But then again depends on the condition of your bone and mouth. You could try and get a removable denture done immdtly and replace the lost molar. Maintain good oral hygn ..wait and wtch. The mobility wil dfntly reduce largely else removal and replacemnt of the highly mobile teeth to save the less mobile would b a good treatmnt..Take care

Is it normal to have loose teeth while having braces?
I have had braces for less than a week, and one of my teeth are loose! Why is this happening? Is it even normal for a person to loose a tooth after you have lost a baby tooth?
Is it normal to have loose teeth while having braces?
When I first got my braces that happened too. It is just your teeth being moved by the braces. Do not wiggle them. I know it hurts but it will pass with time. It may happen a little each time they tighten them too. No pain, no gain in this case. If it gets really severe call your orthodontist so he can recommend something. P.S. don%26#039;t eat any carmel...it is heck on braces.
Reply:it is just moving because, DUHH, thats what braces are for!!!
Reply:It is normal to a certain extent but I would ask your doctor to check it out...you will also end up with short roots on your teeth for life this is not something they tell you before hand...the process does not allow the root to grow to full length..

Is there a way to stop loose teeth from falling out?
I went to the dentist the first time when I was 12, and he said he stopped counting the cavities at 45. Is that even possible? I don%26#039;t have 45 teeth. He said I had some other problems too but we didn%26#039;t have the money so I just ended up having 8 of my back teeth pulled out and we let the rest go. I haven%26#039;t been to a dentist since then. After that I noticed my teeth seemed a little loose. I didn%26#039;t think anything of it and after a while they started to get looser. Now for the past couple months all my front teeth are really wobbly and I%26#039;m afraid they%26#039;re gonna fall out. Can that really happen? I%26#039;m only 14. What can I do to stop them from falling out?
Is there a way to stop loose teeth from falling out?
You need to visit a dentist/periodontist to determine the cause of the loosened teeth, why your teeth are becoming loose. The health professionals can help determine if the condition results from lack of proper hygiene, is related to medication, or related to an inherited disease or not which can lead to bone loss, or maybe there is another condition - where you sleep with your mouth open or you do not secrete enough saliva even during the waking hours.
Can someone have 45 cavities. Yes, I suppose they could. Each tooth can have more than one cavity and require more than one filling. For example, I have one tooth that has two fillings. One filling is on the side (facing the cheek) and the second filling is on top of the tooth, the chewing surface of the tooth. They are not deep fillings. If - being 14 years old, you have 28 teeth, then with 2 cavities per tooth, that totals 56 fillings.
When you were 12, did the dentist or hygenist offer any reason as to why you might have so many cavities? Dry mouth - sleep with your mouth open, don%26#039;t properly secrete saliva during the day or night time hours - saliva helps fights oral bacteria and reduces cavities, lack of flouride, medications, gum diseases, etc.?
If you didn%26#039;t have all the teeth treated (filled), then it%26#039;s possible the infection for untreated teeth could have become worsened.
Even with proper home care - brushing with flouride daily, flossing, 45 cavities seems extreme. Most children brush daily (with flouride), then have a routine dentist visit one to two times a year - i.e. have no cavities or very few before the age of 12 or 14. So, to see so many (45), I would think would have the dentist evaluating other reasons - other than brushing or yearly flouride treatments.
I do not know where you live, if you live in the states or outside the US. However, if your parents do not qualify for health/dental benefits from the federal/state government and they do not have insurance, you may want to check out the dental schools in your area. Also, a dentist can help determine if there is possibly a medical problem, which you can use medical benefits instead of dental benefits.
Some dental schools (for dentists) offer low cost care, since many graduated students are practicing before they go out into the field full time and the older students can observe what they will practice when they graduate when they leave school. Some dental assisting schools offer free services - like free cleanings and x-rays. The dental assisting school in my region of the US are desperate to have more people want to get x-rays or have their teeth cleaned. You can then take the x-rays to a dentist, it%26#039;s one less charge your parents would have to incur.
Also, if the dental schools cannot or do not offer low cost care, some of the schools can offer resources to clinics with low fees in your surrounding area. You really need to visit a dentist to see if you can possibly even save any of your teeth. Even if you can%26#039;t save all your teeth, it is very important to get dentures, because the shape of your mouth can change should you have significant tooth loss.
You might get lucky, too, I have heard some dentist offer free to very low cost treatment in certain areas.
For example, you might lose a lower molar. However, the molar on top might then fall down - into the space of the missing tooth on the bottom - and this situation can cause pain when you bite. Teeth tend to move when they have no other teeth to support them. Plus, dentures will help you keep the shape of your jaw bone (shape of your face, too) which allows you to be able speak words clearly, chew food, etc.
Some offices also have resources for dental loans, which can be paid back as money is used - kind of like a credit card.
I found some links online: you can view them and see if you find anything in your area. You might have to drive 1 to 2 hours, maybe 3, but if you can get help and relief, then even a 3 hour drive is well worth the travel time.
If you can find a place in your area which provides free or very little cost - free consultations, too, then please visit the dentist so that s/he can provide you with the best possible information - like which teeth can be saved and how you can save them.
Reply:Your parents should be reported for child abuse!
Best thing for you to do is continue to see your dentist and follow his protocol.
Again, your parents should have seen to the fact that you received dental care before the age of twelve! Public schools even offer this!
Reply:I don%26#039;t know of any way to stop your teeth from falling out. You know some people just have bad teeth and you must be one of those people. If your teeth are loose it must be hard for you to eat and you really need your mouth fixed. Besides the fact that your only 14 and appearance is important at this age.
Maybe Mom should check into welfare and see if they can help you get your teeth fixed. You know sometimes people can take care of the monthly bills but need help with insurance, medical/dental.
Or maybe you and or Mom could talk to a counselor at school, they might know of a way or someone that could help.

Finally went to a different dentist and had all the rest pulled out. I%26#039;m hoping to get some false teeth in about 3 months. It was kinda scarey going back to school with no teeth, but it%26#039;s not so bad now that everybody is used to how I look. You should have your mom get you in to some dentist as soon as you can incase it%26#039;s not too late but it probly is.

Is it possible to save loose teeth?
I don%26#039;t have any loose teeth and i%26#039;m pretty sure I don%26#039;t have gum disease but if a person does have loose teeth due to periodontitis is there any way to prevent them from falling out? Like I know that if they%26#039;re really loose then they have to be pulled out but what if there is only a very slight movement. Somebody asked me this today and I didn%26#039;t know the answer so I figured I try to find out.

improved oral hygeine can prevent the loss of teeth to a certain point.
I know people who%26#039;ve been in fights that losoened their teeth, but they healed.

No...
I believe that you would have to have some of the original tooth left to anchor either the original tooth or a replacement.
My suggestion would be to go see a dentist or a oral surgeon.
Reply:I didn%26#039;t think I had gum disease but I did and didn%26#039;t know it. My teeth started to get a little loose and I didn%26#039;t do anything, and they kept getting looser. I was afraid to say anything to my mom about it cuz she%26#039;d be upset, but then my teeth started to actually fall out. Once the first one came out they all started to go. I lost a couple front ones in like a month and ended up having them all taken out and I%26#039;m only 16. It can be serious if you don%26#039;t know why they%26#039;re loose, like from hitting them or whatever.

I was told I had gingivitis and to have it treated- I haven%26#039;t yet- but now some of my teeth are getting loose - I think it is too late to have this procedure done- I hate to have them pulled- too expencive - which I could pull them my self. Have any advice??
Dental loose teeth?
the longer you wait the worse they will get.
Reply:If you wait long enough you could get oral cancer. For Pete%26#039;s sake, go to your dentist and pay the price. You have no options.
Reply:You could pull your teeth yourself but seeing as you already have oral problems, I would strongly advise against it~ if you ended up with dry socket (infection where your tooth was) you would really know about it and the cost of any remedial treatment would be a lot higher than the cost of extraction.
Any good dentist covers their own work i.e any complications with the treatment would be rectified gratis.
Go back to your dentist, they are the proffesional, thats why they spent all those years learning their trade. It may not be too late. In the mean time, take great care of your teeth! Keep your mouth clean, floss well, brush gently!
Reply:DO NOT DO ANYTHING YET, LIKE PULLING THEM.
Brush morning and night with HYDROGEN PEROXIDE TO HEAL YOUR GUMS. Brush and Mouthwash twice daily. Keep this up until your mouth feels healthy, then do it just once a day forever.
Get it in the drug department of any drug store or drug department. It is usually on the bottom by the rubbing alcohol and only costs $1.00 per quart. A really inexpensive remedy.
Get it today.
This is an amazingly simple way to heal oral problems from disease, canker sores, bleeding gums, a bitten cheek, root infections and any pain or infection in your mouth.
This heals your gums, your teeth are loose because your gums are sick. If you heal your gums your teeth should tighten up and be good again.
Disease from sick gums can easily travel your blood veins to your heart and give you an infected heart.
Please take care of this today. Be well soon and at a bargain.
Reply:Yeah I have some advise. Dont pull them yourself.
You could be left with bone fragments in your jaw. Not good.
Reply:HELLO,
THIS IS NOT UNUSUAL WITH THIS CONDITION. YOUR TEETH WILL EVENTUALLY STRENGTHEN AFTER YOU HAVE THE GUM TREATMENT.
IF YOU WAIT UNTIL THEY BECOME VERY LOOSE THEY WILL HAVE LOST THEIR BONE SUPPORT AND WILL NEED TO BE EXTRACTED.
ADVICE IS:
HAVE THE DENTIST GIVE YOU THE TREATMENT AND BE PUT ON A SCHEDULED PROGRAM TO MAINTAIN YOUR TEETH HEALTHY FOR LIFE.

Help. Swollen lip, and maybe loose teeth?
I got in a fight yesterday and hit the table my teeth cut through under the left side of my lip, I went to the emergency room and got it stitched up, now two of my teeth that are left of my two front teeth hurts, I dont know if it%26#039;s loose, what will happen if it is? I dont want to get it taken off. I read on another post someone said to use a wet tea bag and it%26#039;ll tighten up the loose teeth. Please help
Help. Swollen lip, and maybe loose teeth?
I dont know if it will help but I have heard that rinsing your mouth several times a day with salt water helps. I think its like l teaspon salt to 6 ounces of water.
Reply:An semi-emergency visit to the dentist is in order!
Reply:I would go to the dentist if I were u!!!
Reply:Your teeth may be mobile without having sustained any damage to the nerve. The best thing to do is to have a dentist place a splint by bonding tooth colored resin to the teeth and anchoring them to non-mobile adjacent teeth for a few weeks. While the tannin in tea has some astringent effects, it will not reverse the damage to the ligament that holds your teeth to the supporting bone. If the nerve was damaged in either tooth, root canal therapy will be required. Good luck!
Reply:Visit your dentist. Sometimes the teeth will tighten by themselves but sometimes root canals are necessary if they were moved alot or were broken.
Better to be safe than sorry
Reply:GO TO THE DENTIST!
Don%26#039;t panic yet, your tooth may very well reconnect on it%26#039;s own, but in the meantime don%26#039;t drink anything hot or cold, or eat anything sugary or salty or.. well just eat something BLAND.
Get yourself checked over by a dentist ASAP.

Do Dogs loose teeth? If they do, when do they loose them and Where do they loose them?
Do dogs loose their teeth?Where and When do they?
Do Dogs loose teeth? If they do, when do they loose them and Where do they loose them?
Dogs start out with 28 deciduous (baby) teeth, cats start out with 26 deciduous teeth. By six months of age, these baby teeth fall out and are replaced by permanent teeth, 42 in the dog and 30 in the cat.
How can I tell if my pet has dental problem?
Bad breath is often a first indicator of dental disease. Gently lift the lips and check for tartar, inflamed gums, or missing/broken teeth. Cats may exhibit increased drooling. Both cats and dogs can exhibit reluctance to eat or play with toys, %26quot;chattering%26quot; of the teeth when trying to eat, lethargy, bleeding gums, eroded teeth, and failing to groom (cats). Dental disease progresses in stages -- if caught early, you can prevent further damage and save as many teeth as possible.
How is the rest of the body affected by bad teeth?
Infected gums and teeth aren%26#039;t just a problem in the mouth -- the heart, kidneys, intestinal tract, and joints may also be infected. The tartar and any infected areas of the mouth contain a multitude of bacteria than can %26#039;seed%26#039; to other parts of the body. With regular dental care, you can prevent some of these more serious side effects.
Where should I start?
With a new puppy or kitten, talk to your Veterinarian at the vaccination appointments on how to initiate a good dental care program at home. Most Veterinarians are happy to provide brushing lessons, and many carry brushes and toothpaste specifically for dogs and cats. (NOTE: do not use human toothpaste on your pet!)
If your pet is an adult over 3 years of age, it would be wise to schedule a dental check up with your Veterinarian. If a dental cleaning is necessary, it is advisable to do pre-anesthesia blood work to make sure your pet does not have any underlying problems.
Reply:Yes, Dogs loose there teeth. They loose them a bit before there first birthday. When dog loose there teeth they do not know what is happening so they will swalow the tooth. Report It
Reply:yes they do but only when they are a puppy just like humans. we found my dogs teeth all around the house
Reply:I do know that puppies lose teeth and get different ones, just like kids do, but I%26#039;m sorry I don%26#039;t know exactly when. Probably you could find the answer by searching the internet.
Reply:Yes. Dogs do lose their puppy teeth. Depending on the breed they loose them between 4-7 months of age. You will likely never see a puppy tooth on the floor though. Dogs swallow the teeth that fall out and deficate them out later. Dont worry. It wont hurt them.
Reply:They do loose their baby teeth brefore the adult teeth come in.
Most times they probally swallow the teeth or they just fall out.
I have some of the baby teeth of one of my dogs.
I found one on the carpet.
Reply:Like with humans puppies do loose teeth that make way for adult teeth. And when dogs get older or due to bad dental health again, they may loose teeth. Most canine teeth are swallowed and every now and then you may run across one laying somewhere, but they usually swallow them.
Reply:My daschund started losing his %26quot;puppy teeth%26quot; at about 1 year. They can fall out at any time, especially if the dog likes to chew. Also, watch out because the new teeth that grow in hurt and make the dog irritable.
Reply:Yes they do, they start losing their teeth at between six months and a year they will start scratching at their mouths viciously and then they are out and this will happen until they have lost all their baby teeth, the next time they lose their teeth they will be very old, but that will be because of age nothing else, they will lose their teeth anywhere anytime anyplace, so if you are thinking of keeping her teeth keep an eye on her, she might lose her apetite for a short period but it does not last long
Reply:They lose them when they are young puppies. That is why they want to chew on everything. They are teething. And just like young children do, they get another set of them. You may find the lost teeth laying around anywhere.

Teeth, loose?
whats the easiest way to pull out loose teeth?
Teeth, loose?
just keep wiggleing it with your tounge and hand and evenyally it will start to loosen a lot. Then once you can spin it round and round wiht your hand and it will pop out.
Or you could try to door slamming with a string arround your tooth and the other end attached to the doornob, but I wouldnt reccomend it
Reply:ouch. unless they are baby teeth go ot the dentist. they can pull them out with a lot less trauma.

When do pups loose their first set of teeth?
My pom 4 mthns lost 2 teeth (front teeth) is this a normal age for her to start loosing teeth I think I heard it was 6 D: if it is.. would this be a bad thing for her to loose her pup teeth early?
When do pups loose their first set of teeth?
Puppies usually start losing teeth at 4-6 months of age. So it%26#039;s not too early for your pom to start losing her teeth.
Reply:Every dog is a little different from teh next. If she is losing them at 4 months that fine. The trick is trying to figure out where they hide them..For my puppy I only ever found one.
Reply:Usually 4 to 6 months. You won%26#039;t find too many as they usually eat them along with their food.
Reply:Puppies begin losing teeth at 4 months of age. Usually the small ones you mentioned and then the back teeth. The canine teeth are the last to go and usually fall out around 6 months. The permanent teeth will quickly fill in right behind the ones that are lost - usually you can see the permanent tooth within days.

Loose teeth and braces? orthos and dentists HELP !?
I have had braces fro a year now and are getting mine off fairly quickly.I just noticed my front teeth are kinda loose but last time i got my braces changed they changed alot of things like brackets and crap. please help :D
Loose teeth and braces? orthos and dentists HELP !?
If you remember, the first time you got your braces on, it hurt for a week or two. That was because your teeth were moving for the first time and breaking the bonds that held them to your jaw bones. Braces keep your teeth in constant motion (even if you don%26#039;t notice it!) because it is easier to move the teeth if they are re-establishing there bonds with your bones before your next adjustment, which is also why the discomfort after your adjustments is far less than when you had your braces put on.
After your braces are removed, you will have to wear retainer(s) for the first 7 weeks day and night so that your teeth can re-establish their bonds with your jaw bones. It can be a slow process depending on the age and health of the person, but that%26#039;s why you have to be diligent when it comes to wearing your retainer(s). If you don%26#039;t wear them let you are instructed to, you teeth can shift and go back into their old, unfavourable positions.
After a year or so, you teeth should be stable enough that you only need to wear your retainer a couple of times a week at night, depending on your body.
Reply:Teeth get loose with braces as your teeth are moving, it%26#039;s nothing to worry about, I%26#039;ve had my braces of for over a year and my teeth are still a bit loose.

HELP?!?!? Loose Teeth? What do I do next? Please Answer!!!!?
I have recently experienced loose back moller teeth. (2 plus adjacent tooth or two) What should I do about it? There is a bit of a crunchin sound with these teethg. Who do I see? What if it comes out before I can reach the appropriate doctor/dentist? What are the steps to resolve this situation?
HELP?!?!? Loose Teeth? What do I do next? Please Answer!!!!?
I agree with the above. If you are over the age of 13 you should go see a dentist ASAP. If these are your baby or deciduous teeth this should be fine. If these are your permanent teeth then you should definitely have this checked out.
Reply:Depends on your age if your young tis normal if your old and there just falling out just got with it it isnt gonna kill you
Reply:If you are over 13 then go see a dentist ASAP!
Reply:If you have had an accident, go to a dentist, otherwise it could heal itself automatically

Loose teeth 16 yrs?
My teeth are pretty healthy and i%26#039;ve never had any cavitys or anything wrong with my teeth, but all of a sudden all of them feel kind of loose?!

you might be biting too hard while sleeping without noticing it.

Dental Health Issue, loose teeth!?
Please help. I%26#039;m a 14 y.o. boy in NYC who has all of his adult teeth in. Sometimes I don%26#039;t brush my teeth in the morning or at night, and those days I simply don%26#039;t brush. Now my teeth are loose and I%26#039;m afraid that they%26#039;re going to fall out! This can%26#039;t be happening! Brushing my teeth now won%26#039;t help, so what will? Is there any way I can stop them from falling out? Or will routine brushing every day keep them from falling out? They%26#039;re ALREADY LOOSE AND I%26#039;M ONLY 14! Please help me. They can%26#039;t fall out already!

Dental Health Issue, loose teeth!?
I understand your concern and it%26#039;s good that you care about your teeth. Yes, there is a way to stop your teeth from falling out.
However, your problem can not be definitively diagnosed and the treatment cannot be recommended, without a complete dental exam, xays, and laboratory tests.
What can you do?
1. See your dentist right away for evaluation.
2. Continue flossing and brushing with PROPER techniques at least two times daily.
3. Drink a lot of milk.
4. Stay on a healthy diet and avoid frequent sugar intakes.
Best Wishes
Reply:well it sounds to me as if you have a periodontal problem..(gum)..maybe gingivitis. But i cant be sure until i have seen your gums, if your gums are a bit on the red side then i would say you do have gingivitis.
What you need to do is brush your teeth every day, make sure of it and ensure that you are brushing your gums, not just your teeth.
Do you floss regularly too?
because not flossing is a huge cause of gum problems.
Use a fairly strong mouthwash that contains CLORHEXIDINE such as clorohex 1200 or corsodyl.
Your gums should then tighten up around your teeth in a few weeks...but act upon it now or your teeth will just fall out as all the bacteria under your gums erodes at your jaw bone.
ps; dont wobble your teeth.
Reply:First off, you need a dental checkup ASAP. Routine brushing twice daily followed with a floride rinse will help repair your gums. However, if you do not have the plaque removed that has accumulated along the gum line, you are fighting a lost cause. You need a good cleaning an scaling due to your neglect. Poor dental hygiene can cause all sorts of physical illness and problems besides the loss of teeth.
Reply:Any bleeding gums, are they swollen(inflamed). These can lead to infection and the loss of your teeth. You might need an antibiotic.Tell a parent of you problem. You need to see a dentist. There ways of cleaning below your gums to tighten your teeth. It might be to late. Show someone and get it taken care of.Infection can cause big problems.
Reply:I guess now you know why flossing and tooth brushing are important. You will look ridiculous with dentures as a teenager.
Are your gums bleeding?? If so you have gingivitis, a gum disease. The following will help heal your gums. But you must follow the regimen.
1. Floss and brush TWICE EVERY DAY.
2. Use an ANTIBACTERIAL MOUTHWASH. Your teeth are loosening up because of bacteria in your gums the mouth wash twice every should help that.
3. To help heal you gums, get HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, from the drug store in is most always next to the alcohol.
Take a mouth full and swish it in your mouth and let it bubble, it will bubble out the disease from under your gums. Do this morning and night. DO NOT SWOLLOW, it feels icky if you swollow.
It will heal the bleeding and any pain you have in your gums.
Get started doing these things promptly and call for a dental appointment in about two weeks. Then your gums and teeth should be in much better condition.
Reply:You need to see a dentist, maybe a Periodontist ASAP, like now. You need serious antibiotics and to have your condition determined by a DENTIST as soon as you can get in. There is a chance they can be saved or that some of them can be saved. You can get very , very ill and I urge you to get care now. If the teeth are truly hopeless, only the dentist can tell you what to do. I hope you get the care you need.

3 loose teeth!!!! Noooo?
Ok, so I have 3 loose teeth!!! And this wouldn%26#039;t be a problem except it takes my teeth like a year to fall out! :-( Ok, so I have two molars that are loose, they are right on top of each other, and then I have an insicor that is loose on the other side... any advice on how to get them out??? And I don%26#039;t want to pull.... PLEASE HELP!!!!
3 loose teeth!!!! Noooo?
If you eat an apple they will come out but you might swallow them so be carefull
Reply:Your options can differ depending on your age, actually. If your older, just go get them pulled. Younger, you may want to wait. How old are you?
Reply:Hi! This is the only time I give my patients permission to eat caramel or candied apples. This will really move them around or pull them out. The reason they seem to take so long is the root has to dissolve before the tooth is loose enough to fall out. And swallowing the tooth is no big deal, it will pass right through. I%26#039;ve patients eat marbles, small plastic toys and coins and out they come.
The other thing that helps ease them out is tootsie rolls. JUST make sure you brush thoroughly after!! Remember, even as a dentist, I don%26#039;t want to pull out teeth if the person can loosen them up themselves. But DON%26#039;T over do it. When the teeth are ready they will come out, just be patient. And try the apples. If you have any other questions, please ask. Marie
Reply:your problem is called LJP (localized juvenile periodontitis). consult with a periodontist for more advice, but you probably have to extract them.

Loose teeth while having braces?
I got my braces 2 months ago and my teeth feel loose. Is this normal? How loose is to loose?
Loose teeth while having braces?
They are most likely loose because the braces are moving them at such a rate the teeth are very movable and sensitive. Eventually they should be sturdy and stay in the position until all your teeth are straight. There%26#039;s nothing to worry about.....unless you lose a tooth.......then go see your dentist.
Reply:I%26#039;ve worn braces and they%26#039;re supposed to be like that. Your teeth are moving constantly because of braces, so of course they have to be loose. that%26#039;s normal!!!
Reply:it%26#039;s probably just because they are moving. i had braces for 2 years, but now they are off.
Reply:.
100 percent normal !!!!
Reply:They probablly just feel loose. When I had braces I felt the same way. So yes, I think it is normal!
Reply:I have worked for an orthodontist. Loose teeth move. So, they will be loose. If you are concerned, go see your orthodontist. I wouldn%26#039;t worry too much at all.
Reply:Your braces are just doing their job. Stop checking to see if your teeth are loose. Thank you.

Dental Professionals - Breaking Teeth, Loose Teeth, sore gums, sensitivity?
Lets just say a few months prior to meeting my wife 4 years ago, I led a less than desirable drug/alcohol laced life for many years. I%26#039;m now 30 and I have been 100% clean since then. I never ever took care of my teeth. I think I was 16 the last time I went to a dentist except to have my bottom wisdom teeth pulled when I was 22, because of the great fear I have of the dentist (nothing against you guys.)
I had a filling fall out about 18 months ago and because of my fear of the dentist all the tooth above the gum line is gone and I belive is or becoming absessed. Today, a %26quot;corner%26quot; of my right rear molar broke eathing a crouton. I have also noticed that some of my teeth seem loose.
Anyway, I think I may have a major problem and I wouldn%26#039;t doubt it it more teeth need repair. I%26#039;m in the Houston area %26amp; need someone who is patient %26amp; not judgemental. I would also like to know the verdict for the 2 mentioned teeth. My family has a history of bad teeth with dentures early in life
Dental Professionals - Breaking Teeth, Loose Teeth, sore gums, sensitivity?
If you read a book called, %26quot;Nutrition and Physical Degeneration%26quot; by Dr. Weston A. Price, D.D.S. you will see that the health of the teeth directly parallel the health of the body. This man traveled around the world in search of primitive cultures that had not been touch by modern man%26#039;s diet. What he found was really incredible. He found that people on the primitive diets of their ancestors had NO cavities to .1%. The same people living, even within 10 miles of each other, on the modern diet of white sugar, white flour, etc. had cavities, loose teeth, no teeth, abscessed teeth, Tuberculosis, but the primitives did not have the Tuberculosis, bad teeth, or degenerative diseases. The 100%26#039;s of villages and cultures he visited encompassed Africa, Europe, Asia, Polynesia, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Gaelics, North American Indians, Seminoles, Eskimos, etc. He found this to be true in ALL cases. In many cases, the people did not have doctors because they simply didn%26#039;t need them. No dentists. No fluoride toothpastes! He took pictures of their perfect teeth and great jaw structures.
You need to see a dentist, change your diet, and start fresh. The dentist will knock you out and you won%26#039;t feel anything. Do NOT let him put amalgam fillings in (silver fillings)! These are very dangerous and cause Alzheimer%26#039;s disease from the over 50% liquid mercury in the amalgams. Tell him you want the CERAMIC FILLING MATERIAL that is 300 hardness. Make him show you the package. 300 hardness is the same as your own teeth. NO FLUORIDE TREATMENTS! This depletes your body of iodine.
Any infected teeth can cause you great harm and even death if left untreated. It is not something you can ignore. No one I know likes the dentist, except his wife and kids. He%26#039;s a very lonely guy.
I had the same problem with dentists. My childhood dentist did not believe in giving kids Novocaine or any pain killers. He had nurses hold me down when drilling. Lot%26#039;s of tears and fears were generated. I did it, you can do it.
It%26#039;s good you are off drugs %26amp; alcohol because the free radicals produced by that will shorten your life and quality of life greatly. Go to: www.westonaprice.org and check out the links and information there. It is a good place to start to understand what you need to do in regard to your diet.
good luck
Reply:You deserve credit for trying to overcome your fears and deal with the consequences of your past problems.
No dentist should ever %26quot;judge%26quot; you in a moral sense--but it would be good for the dentist to know your drug problems are behind you, since they can be directly and indirectly responsible for the dental problems. I%26#039;d be very hesitant to do extensive restorative treatment (for example) on a patient on drugs and/or alcohol, who I would expect to be less than compliant.
OTOH, I would bend over backwards for someone in need that I was convinced was serious about improving their oral health.
Congratulations and Happy New Year!

Loose teeth, not quite three years old!?
My daughter is a few months shy of three. At her dental checkup, the dentist discovered her two front bottom teeth are slightly loose, and on the X-ray, the adult teeth are getting ready to come in! She (the dentist) was quite surprised and said her teeth might grow in crooked, but other than that there%26#039;s no real problem and nothing we can or should do about it. She grew in all her baby teeth pretty early. Has anyone had a similar experience, or have any advice?
Loose teeth, not quite three years old!?
well i don%26#039;t think you can do much. the teeth grows the way it comes out/ the way it does. your daughter might / have to get braces when she is older

Loose teeth for a young male???
I%26#039;ve been down about this lately and I have made an appointment in the month of January to see my dentist. Though, until than I still question as to what is the problem and seek out answers.
On some of my teeth I can rub my finger along them and I can hear a small clicking noise. I apply two fingers around the tooth and can hear the same noise. In July of this year my dentist told me that I did not have periodontis, but that I do have a overbite. Could this be the reason for them? After eating a meal, I can push my tounge against a certain tooth and it feels like it shifts.
Are having dental crowns good in correcting a misaligned bite? May sound odd, but I%26#039;m also curious to know if a loose tooth can be covered by a crown for better support.
Thank you for your time.
Loose teeth for a young male???
I will answer based on your dentist%26#039;s diagnosis of a) no periodontal disease, and b) you have an overbite
An overbite means that your upper front teeth are overlapping your lower front teeth by more than 20%. What your information does not tell me is what percentage your overbite is. Anyway, based on what you did tell me, it sounds like the BACKS of your upper front teeth are putting unwanted pressure on the FRONTS of your lower teeth. When this occurs, the pressure is similar to the pressure you experience when wearing braces. It shifts and loosens the teeth. At least when you wear braces, the braces stay on until the desired movement is complete and then a retainer is worn to hold the teeth in place until the bone is well mineralized (hard) around the roots in their new position. In your case, the pressure is on and off. This means there is enough pressure to move your teeth but not enough CONSISTANT pressure to keep them there. The result? The very sensation you described. Minor movement of the teeth.
Crowns cannot be used to correct this because what you need to do is to realign your teeth so that the unwanted pressure is off. Ideally, you would want to correct the overbite! This means that if you want the job done correctly, you would have to consider orthodontics (braces).
Hey, you are most welcome for my time. An informed patient can keep professionals on their toes.

Why are her adult teeth so loose? Does it mean she'll lose them too?
A lot of my family has false teeth or no teeth, and a lot lost all their teeth really young. My cousin%26#039;s 13 year old daughter was complaining about some loose teeth when I was over recently, so her mom asked to see what she was talking about. All of her front teeth are really wobbly. She said she noticed they were a little loose a while ago, and she can%26#039;t help messing around with them wiggling them and wobbling them because they move quite a bit. Some do move about and eighth of an inch in all directions without much effort. She can even wiggle them just with her tongue. Why are her teeth so loose? Does it mean she%26#039;ll lose all of her teeth like my cousin and I did? They don%26#039;t have much money so anything real expensive probly won%26#039;t be happening.
Why are her adult teeth so loose? Does it mean she%26#039;ll lose them too?
Most likely not at this age, unless your family has a gum or teeth disease. Are you sure they aren%26#039;t her baby teeth trying to fall out?
Reply:She needs to see a dentist immediately. In the meantime she should strengthen her gums by flossing every day and brushing her teeth and gums with a soft toothbrush. Rinsing wtih Listerine mouthwash will also help. I hope it%26#039;s not too late.
Reply:she needs to stop messing with them and brush and take care of them really well. When I was a teen my teeth were loose, I have short roots, my teeth arent loose anymore, I am 30, but because I have short roots I am prone to cavities, root canals, and now have 3 implanted teeth, your cousin needs to get insurance as soon as possible so if she needs dental work she wont have to wait, then maybe you can do research on this situation that your whole family has so the insurance can cover her treatment, Implants are usually never covered by insurance, but maybe with these special circumstances her future teeth can be covered, she should atleast go to the dentist now to see if they can prevent any losing of the teeth she already has. I would hold off on the flossing, and the first person who answered this did not read your question so dont listen to that fool.
Reply:Gingivitis a gum disease that the shrinking gums let go of the teeth , Be for that stage there would have been bleeding when she brushed her teeth . Tell her to keep rinsing her moth with salt water get to a dentist fast, he might be able to save them but don%26#039;t hold your breath .
Reply:I don%26#039;t know why her teeth are so loose but tell her to quit fiddling with them. The more she does that the looser they%26#039;ll get and then they will fall out or all have to be pulled out. I had gum disease and mine got loose. I know it%26#039;s hard not to mess with them cuz I did that too, but if she don%26#039;t do something quick sounds like she%26#039;ll be toothless real soon. She could lose all her teeth anyway cuz it sounds like she waited too long to get checked if they%26#039;re that loose. I lost all mine and I%26#039;m 16.
Reply:Sounds like she should just yank them all out if they%26#039;re that loose. Then she%26#039;ll fit right in with the rest of the family with no teeth. I don%26#039;t know what made her teeth loose, if it%26#039;s gum disease or whatever but mine got that way when I was around her age and I ended up having all mine pulled out. Wasn%26#039;t anything else they could do that was like close to an affordable price. Havin teeth that are loose like that is a pain, but I felt a lot better after mine were all out.
Reply:I dont know why her teeth are so loose. Could be some kind of gum disease or could be just from her messing with them to see how loose they are all the time. If she keeps doin that they will definitely fall out. I don%26#039;t know anyway to fix teeth that are that loose so she%26#039;ll probly lose them all or have to have them pulled before long. She should probly get a dentist to take a look but I think it%26#039;s probly too late to do any good.

Probly best in the long run to just get them all pulled out while she still has enough jawbone to be able to wear false teeth. I had all of my teeth out when I was almost 15. That was over 10 years ago and I%26#039;m still toothless. Hey, your family and mine aren%26#039;t related are they?
Reply:it could be a perio problem they should try to find a dental school or free clinic to get her work done because she is too young to loose her teeth

Try a dental school to cut down on cost or just go to Western Dental. You can go with less than $100 down payment and make payments on the rest. I had more than $1000 worth of work done and I showed up with $100.
Act fast - She is far too young to be without her teeth...
Good Luck
Reply:Take her to the dentist fast. If you don%26#039;t get an appointment now it%26#039;s probably going to be too late. But if it ends up she does lose them she%26#039;ll fit right in with the family. But my only advice is to tell her to quit messing with them. Scold her if you have to. Then bring her to the dentist as soon as possible.

I have 2 loose adult front teeth. My dentist says it is my bite. But it is scaring me, what's up with this ?
A few months ago I noticed this. But sadly I waited until this month to ask my mom to phone the dentist and make an appointment to get these 2 loose teeth checked out. They are the bottom 2 in the front, and they are the adult teeth. The top front adult teeth grew in pretty crooked and messed up (I am getting braces in December.) My dentist looked at it and she said it is just my bite, and they are loose due to the pressure from the other teeth. And by the time the braces are in and the bite changes, the problem should stop, but like, will these two teeth become stronger and no longer loose ? Or wil they be loose forever unless I can find something that the dentist can do to like fix this ? My mom said drink a lot of juice, especially with lots of Vitamin C in it. Please help
Thanks !

The ligaments around the teeth are getting pounded, so they are swollen and therefore, causing looseness. Once the braces staighten things out, the swelling will go down and the teeth will tighten up. Just be aware, that most all of your teeth will be loose while they%26#039;re moving with the braces. Those will tighten up too.
RELAX!
Reply:Do NOT drink a lot of juice-it will do nothing.
You teeth will tighten do not worry.
The braces will help-make sure you tell the orthodontist about it.

Loose teeth removal need to remove its root also or not?
I have a loose teeth dentist said it cant be fixed and need to be removed she said position is such that she will first going to remove teeth and than its root I feel its not good to remove root (there is no infection in tooth reason of looseness is something other) so what’s your opinion it is better to remove root or not and second question what is better, teeth fall naturally during eating process or pull out by dentist here too I feel it need to fall naturally because dentist said I have to take antibiotic for teeth pull out which I find unnecessary anyway teeth going fall someday so why need to take antibiotic.
Loose teeth removal need to remove its root also or not?
If you%26#039;re going to have the tooth removed, there is no reason to retain the root. If you do that, there is an increased chance that infection WILL occur, even if there%26#039;s none now.
Since your dentist has gone to school for years and years, and has hopefully had a successful practice, I would follow her advice.
If however, you feel you know better than she, then maybe you should go to a different dentist and see what THAT one says (i.e., get a second opinion). Chances are, that one will concur with the first.
BTW, an antibiotic is taken to stave off any possibility of infection. There has been a direct link made between poor dental health and heart disease. Is letting your teeth rot out of your head %26quot;naturally%26quot; really the way you want to die??? Not me!
Reply:You feel wrong, root HAS to go! if you were a child, the tooth MAY fall itself, and they fall because of the root absorption by the new tooth comming that same way. take your antibiotics for the whole period that she recomends and brush more often for pete´s sake!!!

Loose teeth and nightguard-DENTISTS?????
Ok, I already went to the dentist so please, do not tell me to go. =) In my opinion, I have some loose teeth in the front though the dentist says they are fine. I clinch some and so he is sending me to the orthodontist to possibly get braces or a night guard. My bite it not aligned properly so that might be why they are somewhat loose. However, if the orthodonist says I just need a nightguard, will my teeth harden up a bit????? Will they harden up with braces? Last thing I want is loose teeth.
Loose teeth and nightguard-DENTISTS?????
If your dentist says your teeth are fine they almost certainly are! I have this worry from time to time but my dentist said it is normal for teeth to give slightly, under pressure. Clenching teeth can also cause pain in teeth, jaws and a headache (I%26#039;ve clenched my teeth for years) so a nightguard might help.
Reply:Yes they can tighten up a bit. A night guard/bite guard will help tremendously, they may also suggest splinting your teeth.
That is where they put brackets and a wire across the back of your front 4 to 6 teeth to help support and strengthen the ones that are loose.

How loose can adult teeth get before they can't be saved?
My cousin is 13 years old and she has quite a few loose teeth mostly in front. She has all of her adult teeth and she said she noticed they were a little loose about 6 months ago but she keeps messing with them and wiggling them with her fingers and her tongue. I told her to quit messing with them or they%26#039;ll get so loose they%26#039;ll be falling out, but she don%26#039;t believe me and won%26#039;t listen. Her mom keeps telling her to leave them alone too but she won%26#039;t. Now some are so loose they move a couple mm%26#039;s with just a little tongue pressure. Her mom told her if her she ruins her teeth and they fall out she%26#039;ll just have to go toothless but it doesn%26#039;t seem to be sinking in. How loose can her teeth get before they can%26#039;t be saved? Is she headed for dentures already at her age?
How loose can adult teeth get before they can%26#039;t be saved?
OMG, tell her to get to a dentist quick!! AND quit fiddling with her loose teeth it will only make them looser faster. It might not be too late to save at least some of her teeth. Something like that happened to me and I didn%26#039;t think anyting of it at first cuz they were only a little loose and I figured it would go away on its own. It didn%26#039;t and my teeth kept getting looser then my front teeth started falling out and I ended up losing all my teeth. She%26#039;s pretty young to be havin that happen but if they%26#039;re that loose she%26#039;s probly gonna start losin them real soon.
Reply:She should be going to the dentist every six months. A dentist can answer that question. If her parents don%26#039;t care that she%26#039;ll loose her teeth, I seriously don%26#039;t think they will go to the expense of dentures. It%26#039;s a shame when parents don%26#039;t take care of their children%26#039;s teeth.
Reply:Hopefully these are baby teeth. But if they are not, she needs to see a dentist ASAP. I have never heard of someone as young as 13 having loose teeth, being adult teeth. One of the reasons that could cause this is bad oral hygiene. Meaning, if shes not brushing/flossing and getting her teeth cleaned every 6 months, she could have some kind of gum disease. Which in the later stages causes bone loss, and therefore your teeth get loose because the root of the tooth has nothing to hold on to. I would ask her if her gums bleed or ever hurt her as well. Please tell her to get to a dentist, because once you have gum disease (with bone loss) or loose teeth, there is no way to reverse it. Good Luck!
Reply:If her teeth are loose they are eventually going to fall out. There is nothing that could fix loose teeth. You have to floss and brush your teeth every day and see a dentist every six months or this is what happens. She probably will be forced to wear dentures before too long if it is as serious as you say.
Reply:I%26#039;m not a dentist but it sounds like she should start getting used to the idea of gumming her food. If her teeth are that loose for as long as you say they%26#039;re proabaly going to fall out or have to be pulled out before very long. If she keeps moving them around they%26#039;ll never tighten up if it%26#039;s even possible they could. She%26#039;ll probably be toothless or wearing dentures before very long I%26#039;m afraid.
Reply:well, at 13 she should have all of her adult teeth. as for them being loose, roots develope slowly after the crown part of the tooth. if she keeps bothering them, she could cause resortption of the developing structure and cause permanent damage. have you taken her to the family dentist about this? she first needs to have them examined and xrayed,. they may recommend some form of orthodontics (braces) to stabalize the teeth until all is developed. there are bars that can be cemented on the tongue side of teeth (no one can see them this way) to stabalize teeth. another concern is the rare occurance of childhood periodontal disease, it is rare but without seeing her, i cant say for sure. just take her to the dentist.

Loose teeth in puppies question?
Okay, I know puppies begin losing their teeth between 5 and 6 months, but is it abnormal for them to lose them early? I ask because my Lab is only 18 weeks old and for the last week her teeth have been bleeding when she chews on things. It started out as small spots but now she%26#039;s bleeding pretty bad on everything she puts in her mouth. I know this is a sign of her getting ready to lose teeth - though for the life of me I can%26#039;t see what tooth (teeth) are bleeding - but is this too young? How long usually are the teeth lose before they fall out? I%26#039;m not too worried about it because I know it%26#039;s normal. Guess I%26#039;m just curious because my other puppy isn%26#039;t showing any signs of loose teeth yet. They are both scheduled to be spayed on Feb. 7th but they have to at least lost one tooth to have it done according to the vet and I don%26#039;t know if I chould reschedule Ravyn%26#039;s since she%26#039;s not losing teeth yet. Thanks! Serious answers only and no smarta** comments!
Loose teeth in puppies question?
Eighteen weeks is not really that early. It%26#039;s more than 4 months, so it%26#039;s normal.
The exact schedule does vary from breed to breed.
The incisors turn over from deciduous to permanent from two to four months of age. The canines usually convert around six months of age. The premolars and molars follow in that order, with the last permanent molar erupting around eight months of age.
Dogs have 28 deciduous (temporary) teeth and 42 permanent teeth. Puppies have no teeth at birth, and grow deciduous teeth beginning their second week of life.
At three months of age, the deciduous teeth begin to be replaced by the permanent teeth. The replacement process begins with the incisors, and moves back
wards through the canines, premolars and finally the molars. The turnover process is usually complete by the time the dog is eight months old, with none of the original 28 deciduous teeth remaining. Most deciduous teeth are swallowed with food and never seen by the pet owner. Occasionally a deciduous tooth is merely pushed to the side and retained next to the permanent tooth. Retained deciduous teeth can be removed by a veterinarian.

Reply:Pups can lose teeth anytime after 4 months and be completely normal. It can really depend on what they are eating and what they have been given to chew on. Once the milk teeth fall out the new ones appear almost immediately. AND I have never heard of a vet not spaying/neutering due to tooth loss! Might want to do a little research on the VET!! Any pet can be spayed/neutered if they are physically ready. (healthy and for a male both testicles descended). Most vets prefer to wait until they are 5 months, but this is for anesthesia reasons, not teeth.

Loose teeth afte gettting hit in he mouth with a board.?
In August I got hit in the mouth with a 4x6 when I stepped on it it came flying up and whacked me. Besides a gash that went through and through the skin, 2 of my teeth were knocked loose. X-rays showed not breaks and that the teeth intact. I was stitched up and my teeth pushed back in place and I was told that they will tighten up. The gums have healed but the teeth are still loose but not as loose as they were. I have no problems eating or anything, except when it got really cold out they started to hurt.
I thought by now they would have been tightened up or will they always be a little loose.

Hi, I%26#039;m a dentist.
How long ago was it that your teeth were initially traumatized? Also, how out of place were the teeth (you mention they were %26quot;pushed back in%26quot;)?
It can take approximately 6-8 weeks for traumatized, loosened teeth to shore up in the socket. The bone surrounding the tooth needs that time to heal.
You need to keep in mind that there is a chance that the teeth will not shore up completely, and that the teeth may be dead. If this is the case, root canal therapy may be an option to save the teeth. Extraction of the dead teeth, followed by a partial denture or implant-supported crowns is also another option. Teeth darken if they die...the tooth will turn a gray/brown color. It can take months for the tooth to change color.
You should be re-evaluated 6 weeks after the initial trauma and splinting process. You didn%26#039;t mention whether or not your teeth were splinted, but it sounds like they should have been.
Good luck. I hope this helps.
Reply:They should tighten up eventually. Try to not put very much pressure on them when eating, if you can.

Loose teeth?
I am getting worried, so please serious answers only.
My teeth are clean etc and I go to the dentist regularly every 6 months, but someone told me that teeth should not have any budge at all and be firmly fixed in the gums. However, my teeth - when wiggled with fingers at the back and front of the teeth - wiggle ever so slightly. When pushed purely from behind or in front, they don%26#039;t move at all and do not move when eating etc. Should I be worried about this at all? My teeth have always been like this and no dentist has ever said anything bad etc.
Really worried now - are my teeth falling out??????
P.S: I used to wear braces when I was a teen, but I am now 31 years old.
Thank you for your time.
Loose teeth?
Teeth are not firmly stuck into the bone. There is a little ligament which adheres to the root of the tooth and holds them in. Thus, there is always a very tiny amount of tooth movement.
In your case, since you had braces, there%26#039;s a possibility that some of your roots resorbed a little during the procedure and are shorter than normal. This will allow the tooth to move more than is normal......but his is nothing that can be rectified and is nothing to lose sleep over. Just ask your dentist next time.....he/she will be glad you%26#039;re interested and informed.
Reply:No, your teeth always shift slightly and it%26#039;s normal for you teeth to move a little bit. I wouldn%26#039;t worry about this because even if you went to the dentist, what are they gonna do? glue your teeth in? If you are really worried about this just ask the dentist what he/she thinks. Good Luck!
Reply:If you are seeing your dentist every 6 months, then don%26#039;t worry. Teeth are %26quot;firmly fixed in the gums%26quot; as you stated, but they have a slight mobility do to small fibers that are attached around the root.
Reply:Ask your dentist about this at your next appointment. He will probably say %26quot;He will keep an eye on this%26quot;. I have had certain teeth that have been loose for years. They have not fallen out yet. I guess we are OK as long as our dentists know about this.

Good Luck!
