Tooth Ache? fillings/teeth loose? what is it!?!?

My tooth started hurting me about a week ago. The tooth that was aching was one where I had a filling and half of it came out (came out over a year ago and has never bugged me). It would come and go, and mostly when something cold was on it, it would hurt.

Then the tooth next to it started hurting, and actually started to feel a little loose. It's like I can wiggle it, but barely. If I push my tongue against it, i can feel it moving in my gums.

I don't have insurance for a few more months and no money to go the dentist (and I have TERRIBLE anxiety w/the dentist which doesn't help lol).

Oh yeah, and my jaw kind of hurts to on that side (left).

Oh, and the for those of you that have fillings--you know the feeling if something metal/foil touches your filling, how that feels? THAT'S the kind of pain I've had today and yesterday and I dunno why. there isn't anything metal in my mouth!

Tooth Ache? fillings/teeth loose? what is it!?!?
You need to go to the dentist. If you lost half a filling and didn't have it replaced the cavity probably spread. Cavaties can go a long time without hurting and that's probably what's happening. Also, if you happen to still have your wisdom teeth they could possibly be moving and causing pain throughout your mouth. Only way to find out is to see a dentist. You can look up schools in your area with Google. You can get work done that is way cheaper.

As far as anxiety goes, I had the same thing for a while. But you have to remember that you are the one in charge and if you're paying, you're the boss. So if something is too much for you, you can stop it and they have to listen to you. Also, if you focus your concentration on 3 body parts, such as rubbing your knee, wiggling your toe against your shoe, touching your fingers to your palms - your brain is literally unable to panic. It works, give it a try next time you are in the dentists chair.
Reply:sorry i m not a dental doctor so better go to dentist.

I have two slightly loose adult teeth. What should I do/not do to get them to tighten up?

Teeth are loose due to injury, not natural loosening.

I have two slightly loose adult teeth. What should I do/not do to get them to tighten up?
It depends on how loose. You may want to go to a dentist to have them stabilized while they tighten up. The worse the trauma the better the chance that you may need root canals in the future. If you get them stabilized it may be less traumatic for them, hence, less chance of possible root canals!

Just Avoid Really Hard Food

Don't Mess With Them (Wiggle Them)

They Should Tighten In Time (Couple Of Days)

What should i do? :( two of my teeth are loose and my parents refuse to take me to the dentist!?

im 16, and have been having problems with my gums for a while now. at first it was nothing big...then i noticed that one of my teeth were loose (the one right behind my canine)...it really freaked me out because i am all about having a pretty and healthy smile. i begged my parents to take me to the dentist and they called me a hypochondriac like they always do when i come to them asking for help. and im not the type to ask for serious help unless i feel like i really need it simply because i know that even if its a big issue my parents will make me feel horrible about it. well my mom went recently and got dental work done and so i begged her to take me because i was so worried i was gonna loose this tooth and have serious problems with the others...her response was "ill take you at the beginning of the year if youll just shut the hell up and leave me alone...ill give you my follow up visit, would that make you happy!?" i told her id be fine with that and so i waited...

What should i do? :( two of my teeth are loose and my parents refuse to take me to the dentist!?
You really need to see a dentist. That should not be. Try your VERY best to convince your parents to take you to a dentist.

That's all I can suggest. I'm sorry.
Reply:maybe your family can't afford it. WELCOME TO AMERICA!!! You should just go down yourself for a checkup.
Reply:show her how you're tooth is all loose and wiggle it around and stuff. If she's a no go and you're still freaking out I would ask a family member or friend to take you to the dentist and in the mean time get a job to pay for the dental work you need to have done. If you're teeth fall out they're not gonna grow back.
Reply:Aww, you poor thing! Well, you've got some awfully neglective parents right there. Do you floss? The best way is to go to the dentist... But I don't know why your parents aren't taking you. Could you explain your serious problems with your other teeth? If you're lying about your age and your way younger, then it's normal to be losing your teeth and growing new ones.
Reply:Call the dentist and make an appointment yourself. When I was 16 I took myself to all my medical/dental appointments. As long as they already know who your insurance provider is, it won't be a problem.

If that bothers you for some reason, call the dentist and describe the problem. They will let you know how serious it is. If they tell you that you need to come in, ask them to call your parents to let them know it's a serious problem.

Best of luck!
Reply:are you sure they're not baby teeth? cause I'm 15 and my baby teeth wont come out and i got them pulled out( 5 of them) the roots are stubborn sometimes and they get loose for a while and then tighten again over and over but they dint come out so i had them pulled out. you should go see the dentist.
Reply:I hope you get to dentist soon. The problem with your parents really might be financial. Dental insurance does not cover real dental work, only cleanings and sometimes fillings. Do you work? You are 16 right? Maybe you can save some money yourself and go. I don't mean to sound harsh, but if you don't get your teeth fixed now you will have real problems after the age of 35 and that will cost you thousands of dollars.

I had deep root cleaning on my teeth about 1 month ago, now one of my molars is loose & sore is this common ?

My tooth that is now loose was an "11" score when it was tested for the pockets. Molar was not sore or any problems now after the deep cleaning a month later my molar is very sore and this morning I noticed the tooth is actually very loose. Will I be loosing this tooth ? All my other teeth are fine and they where all 2's and 3's. Thanks

I had deep root cleaning on my teeth about 1 month ago, now one of my molars is loose %26amp; sore is this common ?
This is not uncommon for someone who has had a deep cleaning. Because you had a deep cleaning, I can easily assume that you have a stage of periodontal disease. During the cleaning, the calculus was removed and it was actually the calculus that was holding the tooth firmly in place rather than the bone. Now that the calculus is gone, the tooth has become loose. Yes, you are better off without the calculus... leaving the calculus would have just resulted in further bone loss. Call your dentist and alert them to the mobility of your tooth.
Reply:Call your service provider immediately and make a follow up appointment. You need this professionally evaluated. When I had this done the same thing happened and one of my molars became infected as a result. BTW, they are responsible for the cost of treatment in such an event.
Reply:sounds like you have less bone now in your jaw. periodontist is a must at this point. maybe need to stimulate gums more and also have a complete deep clean and perio work done. i just had it done. i think the base of the tooth is real weak in this case so see the perio doc.
Reply:This is very normal. Your tooth is this way because they cleaned off the calculus %26amp; tarter that was around it %26amp; since it is gone it has become wiggly. I'd still contact the dental office %26amp; have them take a look at it to see what the recommend be done to this tooth. Good luck.
Reply:You obviously have periodontal disease if you had a deep cleaning and this is why the tooth is loose. If a tooth has a deep pocket and a lot of bacteria built up under the gu line, it is very likely to become loose. you see, it is almost like the build up has the tooth glued in to the socket. You should call your dentist, you need this tooth extracted. This is not their fault and they will not be liable for this.

What age do people usually loose all their baby teeth?

I'm 13 and i was surprised since my friend said that she still had one more baby tooth left. I lost all mine at the age of 8 or 9 (in the third grade). Is it bad to loose your teeth earlier? Or does it make a difference at whatever age you loose them at?

What age do people usually loose all their baby teeth?
Anterior (front) baby teeth are usually lost between 5 and 10; molars typically fall out a little bit later, so it's normal to be in middle school and still have a few molars left. It's not abnormal to lose them earlier or later, everyone's different. The only issue with losing baby teeth too early is that the permanent teeth may not be ready to grow in yet; if this is the case it can cause crowding when they do come in, though that can be fixed with braces of course.
Reply:about.......... 6-8 years old. and no it is not bad to loose your baby teeth earlier.
Reply:I lost all of mine when I was about nine or ten so it probably varies from person to person.
Reply:I'd guess 8 or 9. I'm convinced I never lose any molars because I don't remember it, but I guess that's not possible.
Reply:Children usually loose their last baby/primary tooth around ages 11-13, but kids usually loose their teeth at different ages. Some people never loose some of their primary teeth. Here is a link to a website that shows you at what age which teeth are suppose to erupt.

Since ive been pregnant my bottom teeth have became loose are they going to fall out? im terrified!?

im 5 months pregnant and just relized that my 3 bottom teeth are somewhat loose! not to where i can actually move them with my tounge, but i can tell they are a little loose. does this happen in pregnancy and does any one know if these teeth will fall out, or maybe firm up eventually? just curious because its always been a fear to loose a tooth.

Since ive been pregnant my bottom teeth have became loose are they going to fall out? im terrified!?
When you are pregnant, your baby takes nearly everything out of your body. Hopefully you are taking your prenatal vitamins as you should, maybe talk to your doctor about this or even call up the nurse and discuss it with her. It could be all you really need is some extra calcium and you can find calcium vitamins in your local store. Don't mess with the teeth, more than likely, your gums will tighten back up and they will be fine. I hope this helps, do see your doctor though. Good luck.
Reply:Begin to eat better immediately and take calcium and other minerals, and vitamins.
Reply:i heard you can loose a tooth in each pregnancy maybe you should take your prenatal vitamins
Reply:I remember when I was pregnant both times my teeth would get like that...almost like they feel sore/moved after a dental cleaning. I'm sorry I cant give you a definate answer, but thats just personal experience :)
Reply:I would fill the page up with this, but at the risk of getting flagged for spamming, I'll only type it thrice:

Calcium vitamins.

Calcium vitamins.

Calcium vitamins.

Take 'em.

No, your teeth probably won't fall out.
Reply:I had my baby.. always had GREAT teeth. After my pregnancy I had over 1500 dollars of cavities! All the calcuim was drained out of my teeth during pregnancy. NOw with this pregnancy I already notice some tooth aches!
Reply:Don't worry. When you are pregnant some funny things happen to your body. Changes in your gums are one of them. When I was pregnant I used to bleed every time I brushed my teeth. If you are really worried, then go visit your dentist. It is safe to see them as long as you are not getting x-rays. After the baby, your mouth will return to it's normal self.

Your hair... now that is another story...

Good luck with your pregnancy!
Reply:Teeth are anchored with ligaments. When you are pregnant, your body releases hormones which relax your ligaments to make it easier to give birth. This can make your teeth feel a little loose, and this is entirely normal. You might also notice some bleeding in you gums when you brush your teeth.

If you are getting a reasonable diet, there isn't a problem and your teeth will return to normal after your delivery. If you have any concerns, see a dentist or talk with your obstetrician.
Reply:Make sure you are keeping up with good dental hygiene techniques and keeping all scheduled dental appointments. Most dental procedures are safe during pregnancy, just make sure to tell your dentist that you are pregnant before being treated. If you dont have a scheduled appointment already MAKE ONE! Dont ignore other aspects of your health just because you are pregnant. Your over-all health(yes including your teeth) effect your baby too. Good luck!

I want to know what are the effects of using cocaine on teeth. Does it loosen them?this girl has loose teeth?

This woman has been on cocaine for many years. Now has bottom teeth that are loose and she is trying to get her ex boyfriend to pay for them because of a fight they had months ago Could her loose teeth be because of the cocaine use.

I want to know what are the effects of using cocaine on teeth. Does it loosen them?this girl has loose teeth?
Yes, cocaine is highly acidic, and a common practice of users when they are cleaning out the baggies is to rub their gums with the remaining powder. (waste not, want not) This will over time lead to the gums to start receding and loosening of the teeth. Chances are they are too far gone by this point and may need to be removed due to decay. She will probably need full plate dentures.

This is what drugs do to the body, it can seem like fun at first but it turns into stuff like this in the end.
Reply:ohh yeah, ask her if she rubs coke all over her gums??

if she does, its form the coke (or 30 other chemicals used to make the drug)
Reply:Are you thinking about using coke to pull out a tooth??
Reply:Most definitely.
Reply:I think if she's using cocaine and having knock down fights with her boyfriend, she's got a lot more to worry about than her teeth. She needs to get help to fix her life.
Reply:i hope this women is not you because if it is you need to stop...anyway yes it does make your teeth gross.
Reply:yep
Reply:Well I dont quite think its the coke that will loosen yer teeth... More like the drug dealer will do that for ya if yer late payin!
Reply:Drugs do have a bad effect on teeth. Especially methamphetamjne (crystal), and crank. I've never really done cocaine to any extent but I'm sure it has it's effect too. Could it be that he hit her, why else would she want him to pay? I've seen a lot of women with no teeth or rotting teeth due to drugs. One was a young redhead, real pretty, but when she smiled half of her teeth were gone. She was a heroine addict. Another little girl smiled, but when she did all she had were black nubs for teeth. She was a meth addict. Luckily, I kept all of mine. I'm a recovering meth addict. Never again will I do drugs. They are bad for a persons health and happiness. You think that you use and abuse them when it is them using and abusing you.

Playing with dog-dog yanks toy out of mouth-now have 4 to 5 loose teeth-will these teeth ever get UN loose ??
He should go to the dentist and get them immobilized so the ligaments will strengthen and settle the teeth into where they should be. Probably take a month or so. The device will likely be like a retainer you get after braces.

Good Luck

Oh, and the person is supposed to hold the rope with the HANDS and the DOG uses his teeth for next time, LOL.

Is it safe to use pliers to pull rotting/loose teeth out?

Besides it being reasonably painful, is it safe to pull rotting/loose teeth out with run-of-the-mill pliers, given that I clean them first?

Please don't suggest I go to see a dentist; I know that's an option, I'm just interested in the answer to this particular question.

Is it safe to use pliers to pull rotting/loose teeth out?
Yes, it's safe - my mate down the pub has done it a couple of times that I've seen. If he has a tooth-ache, he just yanks the tooth. Personally, I'd take the novocaine...

Just because it's safe does not mean it's sensible. At least get some clove oil, or some booze.

EDIT: ignore the people talking about sterile tools. THe only contact the tools have is with the tooth, which is coming out anyhow - aside from which, your mouth has a higher bacterial count than your bunghole. It's not a sterile place, no matter how sterile your tools. Nevertheless, it copes quite admirably with the loss of a tooth.
Reply:r u mad course its not safe
Reply:Clean them properly though, I cant see not problem exept OUCH :) x
Reply:no, its not safe, thats as clear as crystal
Reply:no.....cause it takes a lot of guts to pull your own teeth out, and you could get a nasty infection.
Reply:hi

i wouldnt say it was safe, but people have been known to use them in desperation.
Reply:You could get significant bacteremia (bacteria in the blood), not to mention failing to remove the tooth and its roots properly.

This is what you should do if you decide to go ahead with it:

rinse with povidone iodine before and after you pull it.

Of course antibiotics would be good but you are probably not going to the doctor to get those either.
Reply:lots of people in the UK practise home dentistry because they can't afford to go to one!
Reply:Yes!! as long as you sterilize them first.... Thats all a dentist does anyway!! Good luck!!
Reply:im not sure but, my dad knows someone who does his own teeth, you can get a kit from boots and i think you can buy numbing stuff for it, and i know thats what he does, so i think it is safe if you use the numbing stuff

best of luck

x
Reply:No deffinatly not safe. When the dentist pulls a tooth it is with sterial tools. And it can get infected very easily so you may end up needing an antibiotic.
Reply:Long as you don't grip to hard.Could break the tooth.But yes.I

pulled a loose tooth out of my mates mouth no trouble. At least it

wasn't for me.
Reply:Go for it , just don`t smash the tooth, that will bloody hurt.
Reply:Back in the day this is how we done it and it's still better than paying 90 bucks.

Happy pulling
Reply:The problem with using ordinary pliers is the shape (one assumes you would sterilise them first).

Tooth pullers have a distinct shape, designed to spread the pressure around the tooth.

Using pliers would risk crushing the tooth, which is likely to leave pieces of the tooth embedded in the gum and all the problems that could cause.
Reply:I wouldnt recommend it. First up a pair of pliers is not the right tools for the job. Without the right tools your job is much harder and no promise of it going right. The pliers could introduce dangerous pathogens to the mouth and blood stream unless they were sterilized properly. Even if you could sterilize the pliers there is no guarantee that the tooth will come out quietly. The tooth could easily break leaving fragments in your jawline. You could also hit nerve endings and do damage or cause problems with the many blood vessels inside the tooth bed. There are too many risks to attempt such a operation yourself, this really should be left to a trained professional
Reply:Gosh you are having a bad time at the moment - funerals, feet and rotting teeth. I wouldn't pull out teeth yourself as you won't be able to see what angle you need to pull, plus it might hurt if the root hasn't died.

Hope your life gets better soon!
Reply:It would not be a good idea cuz, without guidance of a professional. you might not get the entire root out, and it would be hard to properaly steralize them.
Reply:Never do that...it might cause infection or you can even break it and leave the root inside and this can cause a more serious problem...plus it is probably very painful.
Reply:Hell no. It's never safe. Which unqualified dentist is gonna use that for you. Or are you the unqualified dentist going to use that on somebody?
Reply:pls do not attempt to remove the tooth yourself it may break!!!!! instead try root treating yourself!
Reply:Well if you feel like doing it yourself fine but it`s a lot less painless at the dentist
Reply:NO, NO NO, it is not safe to use pliers to pull out your own teeth, despite what some people have told you!

Sure your teeth may already be blowing in the wind and you may think all it will take is a gentle tug and out the offending tooth comes.

Not always the case my friend, if a tooth is so rotten and decayed it normally crumbles under the slightest pressure,

your then left with small fragments of tooth/bone which are so tiny and fragile that your pliers wont be able to grip onto them.

Sometimes the crown of the tooth can snap off during the extraction procedure and your then left with the root's of the tooth still in-tact!

As for cleaning the pliers before hand, unless you have a dental autoclave at home, which reaches 134 degrees in temp. i'd seriously let sleeping dogs lie and visit your dentist who is a trained professional and knows exactly what their doing!
Reply:No it is not safe, it is not always safe to have it done by dentists either, i had a tooth taken out by a dentist properly and the root broke and part of it stayed in my gum. The root also had a abysis on it and that had burst and my gum got infected and i had to have part of it cut out, which in turn caused another 2 healthy teeth to be removed so that at the top right side of my mouth i now have a big gap where 3 teeth used to be.

Is 41/2 too soon for a child to loose teeth?

My son is 4 1/2 and his two bottom teeth are very loose, I am worried is this normal or ok?

Is 41/2 too soon for a child to loose teeth?
There is nothing to worry about. Some children naturally lose their teeth at the age of two. this may actually be a good thing, with the use of braces on the rise. Your child will have lost all of his teeth earlier than his peers and therefore be ready for braces (if needed) at a younger age. No one wants braces for their senior pictures, he'll be greatful he was an "early tooth looser."

Oh, and he probably won't ask the tooth fairy for more than a dollar. Some older kids can get pretty demanding!
Reply:Have him see a dentist. Kids don't usually start losing teeth until they are about 6 years old.

What disease causes the following symptoms: bleeding gums, loose teeth, painful and swollen joints?
it's gum disease or periodontal disease in the advanced state which is periodontitis. taking care of your gums could entail only paying close attention to proper oral hygiene like proper brushing and careful flossing every after meal. this can help remove plaque that get stuck on teeth. having a regular dental check up and regular dental cleanings can make sure that teeth and gums stay healthy. water has a lot of health benefits and this can be advantageous to oral and dental health. make sure that you drink adequate amount of water to be able to keep bad bacteria in the mouth at bay. visit http://www.themouthdoctor.com for more gum care tips.

Leave them alone. They'll come out when ready.

Reply:If it is her front teeth then don't worry alot of the chewing is in the back so she will learn how to bite from the side if it is the front teeth but don't worry she will be fine and if you take her to a dentist they can tell you when they take pictures of her teeth if the other ones is coming out or not
Reply:i lost my fist tooth at that age too. and so did my daughter... just leave it alone it should be fine. Also the tooth should grow in and the tooth will fall out momentarrily. believe my my husband is a dentist. Everyone looses their first tooth at different ages. If she suffers from severe tooth pain you should get her tooth pulled out. other than that tell her to leave it and dont worry about it and if she does that tell her that she can than put it under her pillow for the tooth fairy and then leave a quarter under her pillow! she will be sooo happy and then she will learn how to deal with her teeth.!!!

I need to get braces. Do all my teeth need to grow in? Or just not have loose teeth? (Continued in Details)?

My questions:

-Do all my teeth need to grow in?

-Or just not have any loose teeth?

-Do all my cavaties need to be filled?

-What colors are usually available?

-Are the bands colored or the metal?

-Do braces hurt?

-Can the colors come in different shapes and sizes?

-What are the common needs for braces?

-If you have a tooth/gum disease can you still get braces?

-Can a person be both a dentist and an orthodontist?

-Does a person need a retainer, too?

-It is true if you don't wear your retainer, too then your teeth and gums will look screwed up?

Thanks, I will get braces in 5-10 months and have questions. A lot of questions! Even though I don't even have some of these problems!

Also, answer the questions in order please!

I need to get braces. Do all my teeth need to grow in? Or just not have loose teeth? (Continued in Details)?
1.No. My teeth arent all grown in and I have braces. I still have baby teeth.

2.No

3.I'm pretty sure they don't.

4.Most colors are (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, black, white. light and dark.)

5.The bands are colored.

6.Sometimes (especialy when they are first put on and tightened.).

7.No. They come in one size (which will fit your braces).

8.You have to brush your teeth, floss, use a water pick.

9.Yes

10.I'm pretty sure they aren't the same. So my answer is no.

11.Yes but you get a retainer when your braces come off.

12.Yes. Your teeth will shift back to their original places, wasting all that money.

I hope I helped!
Reply:The bands are kinda like that. Report It

Reply:Okay, first, you should consult your orthodontist. He'd know better than me. But i'd say...

-yes, all your teeth need to grow in

-cavities wouldnt all need to be filled

-different doctors offices have different colors, but usually theres alot

-the bands are colored

-braces hurt. like a *********

-no? colors cannot come in different shapes and sizes. theyre like...bands.

-you sometimes need wax that they'll give you to keep the braces from cutting your mouth and sometimes you need to have rubber bands going from the top of your mouth to the bottom of your mouth to fix an over-bite or under-bite

-I dont know about gum or tooth disease

-yes, a person can be both a dentist and an orthodontist

-you don't wear a retainer while you have braces on. once you get your braces off, your orthodontist will fit your mouth for a retainer to keep your teeth from moving

-if you dont wear your retainer after your braces come off, yes, your teeth can drastically move back to the way they were before the braces

There you go. I hope i helped.

I have plaque on my bottom front teeth, if i get them cleaned can they get loose and fall out?

I have noticable plaque on my bottom front teeth. and since ive been pregnant (5 months) ive also noticed the gum there on the bottom is receding. i know i have to go get them cleaned, but my husband got his cleaned and he has a loose tooth. and he has the whitest teeth! does any one know if cleaning your teeth with somewhat recideing gums can make your teeth fall out?

I have plaque on my bottom front teeth, if i get them cleaned can they get loose and fall out?
Not getting them cleaned will cause periodontal disease, and then yes they will fall out.
Reply:I don't think it will make your teeth fall out. I had receding gums that happened during pregnancy too. Not sure why it happens. I've read it has to do with lack of calcium (are you taking a calcium supplement? Drinking milk?) but really who knows. :)

Go to your doc anyway. Also, a Sonicare toothbrush will help. They're not always the cheapest, but they really help to use the ultrasonic waves on your teeth and clean really thoroughly.

Also, you can buy plaque looseners in the store (in the mouth wash section). You swish with it first, then brush. Use a SOFT brush (a hard or even medium brush will be too rough on your teeth and gums and make it even worse).

Best of luck to you. Happy pregnancy!
Reply:rather your teeth will stay more.

the plaque will slowly eat into the teeth, slowly, but if it is removed the chances that the teeth will stay are going to increase.

Reply:Having noticable plaque on your teeth is an indication that you're probably not brushing effectively. As a result of not completely removing plaque from your teeth, the bacteria that's in the remaining plaque produce toxins that irritate the gum tissue. Several things can happen from this... one of which is the gum tissue starts to recede. The best recommendation is to have your teeth professionally cleaned and examined. At that time your dentist or hygienist will do what's called perio charting. This will let them know what condition your gums are in. Being pregnant plays a role in the condition of your gums too. Don't worry, having a cleaning even with receding gums won't make your teeth fall out. But in order to get an accurate answer for what may be going on in your mouth, you really need to see your dentist.
Reply:They'll fall out if the bone structure has already been eroded away. Getting your teeth cleaned is the only way to reverse (to some extent) or stop this.

There is such a thing as "pregnancy gingivitis", which is where plaque bacteria increases because of hormone secretions. It also happens during puberty and from birth control medications.

Tidbit: At dental assisting school, my instructor told us stories of being a hygienist for the army. Lots of soldiers had calculus (tartar or hard plaque) that covered their teeth, and only when she flicked off those pieces of hardened plaque did she discover that it was the only thing holding their teeth in!
Reply:You are probably talking about calculus.Plaque is soft and will be cleaned just by brushing. When it is not cleaned often enough,it becomes hard and starts causing gum disease and bone loss.I am talking about years of neglect,it just doesn't happen overnight.Anyways it does hold your teeth together, but keeps eating away your bone, because it is bacteria.Your bone should be holding your teeth, not the calculus. You need a deep cleaning now. When your teeth become loose after you get your teeth cleaned, there are other ways to bond them together.Ask your dentist about it .No dentist will ever recommend you to leave the bacteria inside your mouth. It will do more harm than good.
Reply:no
Reply:Only the dentist can tell you for sure. But yes, a cleaning is very very benificial. White teeth is not always an indicator of healthy teeth. Gum disease is a silent disease that many ppl have. No pain unti your teeth are about to fall out. Sometimes brushes simply can not reach deep in between teeth or below the gumline. Which is why a professional cleaning is very important. If you do not address the plaque accumulation now, then yes, it can lead to gum disease and eventually your teeth will fall out. Get 'em cleaned and piece of mind. It's fast and you don't have to worry about it again for a few months. No, cleaning with receding gums will not make your teeth fall out. But ignorning it will. I have receding gums from brushing too hard and still get reg cleanings, no problem. Go and get it over with. A doctor can also adress any questions.

Recurring dream in which i am a flying demon, with loose bleeding teeth, that terrorizes people...?

.... i have them at least 3 to 4 times a weak, and everytime i am some version of a demon that either flies, or crawls on walls, and as i go about my business in the dream, i am in constant pain due to my falling loose teeth.... and as they bleed i'm aware and worried of loosing my teeth,,, and then someone walks onto me, and as they see me they freak out, and i show them my teeth to intimdate them, and then fly, away,... purposedly scaring and intimidating whoever i happen to fly over.... i never hurt or kill any of these people... they're alomst like nightmare but i also kind of enjoy the feelinng of flying and being an unearthly creature. anybody have any interpretations???

Recurring dream in which i am a flying demon, with loose bleeding teeth, that terrorizes people...?
One theory is that dreams about your teeth reflect your anxiety about your appearance and how others perceive you

Teeth are used to bite, tear, chew and gnaw. In this regard, teeth represent power. And the loss of teeth in your dream may be from a sense of powerlessness. Are you lacking power in some current situation? Perhaps you are having difficulties expressing yourself or getting your point across. You feel frustrated when your voice is not being heard. You may be experiencing feelings of inferiority and a lack of self-confidence in some situation or relationship in your life. This dream is an indication that you need to be more assertive and believe in the value of your own opinion.

To dream that you are flying, signifies a sense of freedom where you had initially felt restricted and limited.

To dream that you are flying with black wings, signifies bitter disappointments
Reply:I agree with "Undiscovered" - but losing teeth also can indicate poor health, or health concerns. It is possible you are using your poor health to keep you from socializing, (ie I can't go roller-skating, I'm too fat, too tired, too whatever). It makes you feel free at first, but it is a problem, which is why your subconscious keeps revisiting it. You can't hide behind your poor health, or insecurities, forever, scaring off potential friends and enjoyment. Set aside your fears, and join the game of life! It is far more liberating!

3 year old Chihuahua with loose Teeth?

My 2 year old Chihuahua is turning 3 at the end of may and she has 2 loose teeth in the front right corner of her mouth. Is this something to worry about or is this normal?

3 year old Chihuahua with loose Teeth?
Unfortunately, Chi's are one of those breeds who -genetically- have horrible oral heath.

While it is 'normal' for the breed to have bad gums, it is not advised to just shrug it off. If her oral situation is that bad where she already has loose teeth before the age of 3, I can guarantee that she needs a good dental cleaning.

Your best bet is to call your vet and set up an appointment for a dental cleaning (and laser gum treatment if they offer it) and for the teeth extractions.

ADD: If her loose teeth are darker that means they are dying. They need to be extracted before infection of the root sets in!

ADD2: While daily brushing is highly recommended and important to your dog's health, it should not replace dental cleanings preformed at your vet's office. Just like humans! We brush our teeth daily but also need to have annual dental cleanings... same concept.
Reply:I would call the vet and ask for their opinion...I have a chihuahua who is six and she stop losing her teeth when she was 9 months or so...good luck
Reply:Are they retained puppy teeth- or adult teeth? Do you brush her teeth? I would take her to your vet ASAP to see if these teeth may need to be removed- it can become a source of discomfort for her and also for infection
Reply:sounds like some gum infection and you need to go to the vet...the teeth need to be removed and some antibiotic is in order...dogs are no different than we are and the too can get cavities...

the next question is what is she eating? Eukanuba is the best food on the market for health reasons and for good coat, teeth and health. also stop giving candy or whatever...there are green treats (not greenies) that look like toothbrushes and you little girl needs to chew them for tooth care...

so go to the vet and get it all straight...and no raw hide chew sticks they jam up the intestines and then it can rupture and kill them...it happened to my Bubblegum...i will always regret giving them to her...good luck
Reply:Well you should take your dog to the vet to be sure.
Reply:You probably want to take her to the vet. There's probably nothing major wrong with her, but the teeth should be pulled to keep them from rotting in her mouth. I don't think playing tug of war would have loosened her teeth, as long as you are playing gently with her. I have three chihuahua's and haven't had any problems with that. However, my lab did have problems with loose teeth when she was about 2, and she had to have one pulled. Just go a see a vet and cover your bases.
Reply:Periodontal disease is common, but not so much in a younger dog. Get her to the vet for teeth cleaning, he may be able to save her loose teeth. They now make a shot to help with this, it is called Porphromonas shot, ask your vet about this. My little dogs get this shot and it has slowed this disease down.
Reply:Take her to the vet. It could be several different things, but loose teeth is a sign of periodontal disease. Does she get regular dental care? It is something that a lot of people don't think about until they see symptoms. I made this mistake with my corgi mix. I did not have his teeth cleaned until he was 7 or 8 years old. His breath was worse than my other dog who was older than him. Low and behold, the corgi mix had periodontal disease that was pretty far gone. He lived to be 15, but had to have his teeth cleaned every year along with tooth extractions. Poor thing ended up having a total of 15 teeth pulled and it was all my fault for neglecting dental care for my dog. My other dog only had her teeth cleaned that one time and never had a dental issue again. I now have an 8 month old puppy who is a dachshund/corgi mix and I brush his teeth about once a week. Some breeds are more susceptible to oral problems than other breeds. Dachshunds and corgis are both known for it so I have to be diligent in his dental hygiene.
Reply:She is a bit young to be losing teeth naturally, ie - due to old age so she probably has gum disease and will need her remaining teeth cleaned and scaled - your vet is the only one who can do this as your dog will have to have an anesthetic in order to have her teeth done. The loose teeth will either come out on their own or you may have to have them taken out if they interfere with her eating. Playing tug with her will help the loose ones come out but it shouldn't normally have any effect on a dogs teeth.
Reply:It sounds like she is going to have premature tooth loss.

I would speak to the vet about what to do they will be able to help you.
