Why do crackheads loose their teeth?

There are also people who are addicted to meth which we call meth mouths. These people basically live for one thing getting high. Their life revolves around their next fix, not taking care of their teeth and themselves. Many times they will eat at any time of the day or night, if at all, which means that they have all of that food and bacteria sitting on their teeth for god knows how long. Also all of the chemicals don't help matters any. When your life revolves around a drug there does not leave much time for anything else. Not only crack heads lose their teeth any person who is so addicted to drugs that they don't care about any other thing in their life but getting their next fix.

Do identical twins loose baby teeth at the same time?

They can, although the only identical aspects are the basic gene structure. The time that the teeth are lost depends on amount of wiggling, foods, oral hygiene, etc.

Do identical twins loose baby teeth at the same time?
not always, no.
Reply:not always
Reply:True, not always but you would be surprised just how insinc twins can be. My neices started their period on the same day. FREAKY!

Reply:no. they're identical but they're not one
Reply:was that a real question?
Reply:no not always all kids are diffrent
Reply:nope
Reply:Though twins are very similar, losing teeth depends on multiple factors, and there is no guarantee that the teeth will come out at the same time. HOWEVER, they probably (but don't worry if they don't!) will start teething near the same time and develop similarly in some other ways.

When do kids loose their teeth?

They start losing their front teeth about age 5 or 6. They keep losing the others off and on until they are about 12 or so. It's highly individual. They cut their last molars at about 12 and the wisdom teeth come in between ages 16 and 20.

When do kids loose their teeth?

Reply:when u knock them out. about the age of 5
Reply:From the age of 5 or 6 right up till like 11 or so, it can vary from child to child. It depends on when the adult teeth are growing in and different teeth come out at different times. The front teeth, often the bottom front then to come out before the top and the back.

When You Were A Kid With Loose Baby Teeth..?

Did you wait for the tooth to naturally fall out on its own or you pulled (helped it) come out?

Do dogs loose there teeth?

They have baby teeth just like kids do. They usually begin to lose them about four months old. The reason some people might not know this is because when they come out, you don't see them and you don't even know they lost any. The new ones come in quickly right after the old ones fall out.

My pup is five months old and it's the cutest thing, he has lost the four bottom front teeth all at once.

Do dogs loose there teeth?
yes they do, but they are remarkable at how they are able to find them again!!!! Report It

And they can lose teeth later on in life from age or bad dental health.

yes, my dog loses them on her chew toys

Do puppies loose their teeth like human babies do?
Yes they do, somewhere between the age of 4 and 6 months.
Reply:Most puppies and kittens begin losing their baby teeth or deciduous teeth at 3 to 4 months of age and they have generally lost all of them by the time they're 6 months old. You may find one or two, more than likely in the food dish, or after playing with chew toys.
Reply:They sure do! That's why they need lots of chew toys.

Reply:They sure do. My dog did. And their teeth can be crooked, and just about everything humans could get. But I don't know about cavitys...
Reply:Yes they do! All puppies change their teeth like humans do. When my dog was a pup her teeth would just fall out %26amp; sometimes you can see a double tooth, one ontop of the other since the old one hasn't fallen out yet.
Reply:Yes, they do. You will find the teeth, after they fall out, in chew toys, or on the floor. However, unlike humans, I am sure there is no tooth fairy for the puppies....
Reply:Yes they do when they are about 4-6 months of age, when the baby teeth fall out the original teeth are there.

Will puppys loose their teeth as kids do?

Like humans, dogs have two sets of teeth in their lives.

The 28 baby teeth erupt through the gums between the third and sixth weeks of age. Puppies do not have to grind much food, so they do not have molars.

Puppy teeth begin to shed and be replaced by permanent adult teeth at about four months of age. Although there is some variation in breeds, most adult dogs have 42 teeth, with the molars coming last, at about six or seven months.

Will puppys loose their teeth as kids do?
only if you let 'em chew on bricks
Reply:Yes.....
Reply:yes, they lose "baby" teeth
Reply:yes they do as their new teeth start to come up their old ones will just fall out. They will not have any pain or anything.
Reply:Yes puppies do lose their teeth just like children/kids, but the only difference the puppies will lose their teeth between the ages of 3 to 5 months to allow the permanent teeth to take place here is a website for you I hope this help take care

Reply:Yes I actually have one of my dog's teeth. It fell out naturally.
Reply:wet a washrag, roll up and freeze .... voila - puppy teething toy
Reply:yes they do
Reply:All dogs lose their puppy teeth about three to four months old. That is why they chew on any and everything to loosen the teeth and relieve the pain. Buy lots of chew toys. The cloth ones are the best. It helps them cut the new teeth and saves your stuff from being torn up. Good luck!
Reply:No they will just grow.
Reply:yes but people never see them because they usually swallow them.
Reply:yes
Reply:Yes...Unfortunately unlike children whom chew on their hands, puppy chew on EVERYTHING!!!

Puppies will be teething, loosing baby teeth and getting permanent teeth, between 3-6 months of age. Watch for the occasional adult tooth trying to come in with the puppy tooth still in place ... it may have to be pulled. Provide plenty of safe, acceptable things for the puppy to chew, such as nylabones, chew ropes, natural sterilized bones, and occasional rawhides. These satisfy the pup's lifetime desire to chew and carry things in his mouth as well as helping to remove tartar. Brushing the dog's teeth with a "doggy" toothpaste as often as possible is a great deterrent to tooth decay and the resulting "doggy breath". There are special toothbrushes for dogs, but a regular toothbrush works fine once the puppy is accustomed to the process; do not use toothpaste made for people.

My dogs love brushing their teeth, believe it or not.

Hope this helps...
Reply:Yes.Our's did. They get toothaches just like we do.
Reply:yes of course your baby tooth felt out right. An adult dog has bigger teeth than puppies how did they do that, by losing their baby teeth duh. My dog lost hers and you should give them shew toys its going to make it easier
Reply:They loose them between 3-6 months old. Give them lots of chew toys. Most of the time they swallow their teeth, but on occassion, you will find one or two, especially when playing tug with them on their ropes. Good luck enduring the teething stage though. It's rougher with dogs than kids, as kids don't chew your furniture or hands...LOL.
Reply:yes. you should find little teeth in their food bowls. they wont lose all their teeth though. they should stop after 6 months
Reply:Yes. Sometimes they swallow them %26amp; poop them out, or loose them in the yard or the worst on your carpet where you don't see them %26amp; then OUCH!...you find it stuck in your foot!

Do dogs loose their teeth?

Dogs have 28 Deciduous "Baby" teeth and 42 Permanent teeth. Adult teeth shouldn't fall out. It just like humans if one of your teeth feel out there was a lot of disease invovled with that tooth and is really painful. Its the same for dogs, dental disease can be very painful. Regular trips to your vet and keeping up with keeping your dogs teeth can make your dog much healthier and happier. There are many new products to help prevent peridontal disease.

Do dogs loose their teeth?
yes
Reply:Yes. They lose their puppy teeth around 5-6 months old to start growing adult teeth.
Reply:Yes. They lose their teeth when they are puppies and when they get older they can lose them as well if their teeth and gums are not healthy. Too much canned dog food can cause tooth decay and tartar buildup which can also lead to other health problems.
Reply:Like people too, dogs can loose their teeth with age or gum disease. They can also crack and break them if they bite down on something too hard, like bones. (Another good reason to not give your dog real bones to chew on.)
Reply:if they are not properly cared for, dogs can lose their teeth permanently just like people. one of the biggest "silent" killers of dogs is gum disease. the teeth don't get cleaned and eventually the gums become infected and start pulling away from the teeth. the bacteria can get into the bloodstream and make the dog sick. some dogs have to have all of their teeth or some pulled.

talk to you vet about a dental regimen for your dog. sometimes they do have to have teeth cleanings (the dog is put under anesthesia) and the teeth are cleaned like at the dentist. you can also brush your dogs teeth and use dental chews at home.
Reply:Yes they do,just like humans they get a toothache and have tooth extractions.
Reply:yes they do
Reply:Yes, just like humans do.
Reply:Yes, puppy's loose their teeth around the age of 3-5 months.
Reply:when a dogs ages it can loose there teeth. or due to gum disease as well.

Do women with improper teeth(long loose front teeth) have loose moral value?
I think you meant, "Loose MOLAR value"

Can you loose your teeth from chemo?

A friend told me about tooth loss after chemo, and I am worried now. Anyone had that experience?

Can you loose your teeth from chemo?
I had chemo and did not experience this but there are different kinds of chemo with different side effects so it would be best to discuss this with your oncologist.
Reply:yes-any type of chemotherapy can result in teeth loss. i always tell those who are going on chemo to get to the dentist before treatment begins and get complete checkup and fix any problems before hand. chemotherapy also makes your bones dry and brittle.

chemotherapy makes your mouth dry, chapped and warm. since many experience a loss of saliva, it isn't there to keep your mouth moist or to "rinse" away so to speak germs and food particles.

there is mouthwash available to those on chemo, usually found at your local pharmacy store. ask the pharmacist what brand it is. also, chew regular sweetened gum as well as drink lots of fluids. the more fluids you drink, the less the side effects too!

good luck!
Reply:Absolutly. As the person said above me with the changes in your mouth. Mainly, the lack of saliva. Your saliva helps 'wash' off the plaque and sugar. Not to mention a lot of people experience mouth sores and overly sensitive gums making brushing difficult.

I had never had a cavaty with my perm teeth up until the last couple years with chemo. I have had 4 teeth filled, one pulled, and I have another that needs to be filled as soon as I am cleared to have dental work done again.

Is it ok if i pull my cats teeth when they are loose?

I am not sure if they are her baby teeth or adult teeth , I've never seen her loose any before or noticed them loose either it is one of her fang teeth and i do not have the money for a dental care vet.

Is it ok if i pull my cats teeth when they are loose?
I would go to the vet. You can cause an infection -- which may already be there if the teeth are loose. This sounds innocent enough, but time after time I have seen cases of simple infections that require $20 in antibiotics turning into nearly fatal internal infections -- the bacteria can move into the system easily from bad mouths. It is also worth it to start brushing your kitty's teeth. Good luck! (and try feeding soft food if your kitty is having teeth problems. Give him acidopholis to build up the immune system if you cannot afford the vet just yet. this can be painful for the kitty, so see if you can borrow a couple bucks in order to at least make your kitty comfortable)
Reply:no, please leave them come out on there own and they will when the cat is eating I'm very sure. Nature takes it course and just like when they are baby kittens, their teeth fall out on there own.
Reply:If she is under 6 months old, then they are baby teeth and will fall out on their own. If it's an older cat,I don't think it will appreciate you pulling it's tooth! You are very likely to get bitten if it's an adult canine tooth,as they have very long roots and it would really hurt. You can try calling around to find a vet that might accept payments.
Reply:NOO! dont pull the teeth!

if it looks like its in pain, take it to the vet.

if not, they'll fall out on their own. dont pull!
Reply:If it's a fang tooth she may have just knocked it and it will settle down in a couple of days.

I have pulled out baby teeth but only when they were actually dangling ( vet showed me how to do it)

If it is a baby fang it should be obvious as they are really tiny.

If in doubt consult the vet, infected teeth can cause major problems or even death in cats.
Reply:Dont pull out the tooth yourself unless you would do so also if it were your child..Animals have an uncanny ability to look after themselves hoever much you think they cant..It will come out eventually..If it does look sore always use salt water to ease any infection..this usually clears things up
Reply:I think it's so mean to pull cat's teeth......
Reply:i wouldnt worry about it... How old is she? if shes still a kitten then its pry a baby tooth and they are suppose to loose those.
Reply:No, take her to the vet.
Reply:NO do not pull them out! You stand the chance of making things much worse if the root breaks off while still in the jawbone.

Baby teeth will fall out on their own (usually before the age of 10 months). Adult teeth need to be removed professionally--so either save up for this or arrange something with your vet.

However, when I'm in my car driving fast and all by myself I may crank it up. If I'm in a residential area I always turn it down. I have a 1 year old son and I know that I hate it when people come through our neighborhood at 1 a.m. with music so loud that it rattles the windows. You have to be respectful of other people. I have told the people who are firends with my neighbors that they need to turn it down on more than one occasion and they do.
Reply:sometimes people do but what really matters is that are you listening to what other people are telling you to do or not. just do the thing that you think is right for you.

How many teeth do mini dashchaunds loose?

i have a 3 yr old mini dashchaund and she lost a tooth the other day. about how many are they supposed to loose in their life? also how do i go about brushing her teeth?

How many teeth do mini dashchaunds loose?
i have a mini doxie too.... he's part chihuahua too though... he lost all of his puppy teeth already and he's only a year old so hers might have been an adult tooth. It may be hard to get her to let you brush her teeth if you never have before but try to slowly introduce the flavor of the toothpaste to her (make sure its dog toothpaste)... put some on a toothbrush (either a plan human one, a dog one or a puppy one, she doesnt need a big one since she is a small dog) and let her lick it all off... keep this up and then start holding it and moving it her mouth while she's eating it. it's not gonna work overnight.
Reply:Dog teeth are like ours. They have one set of baby teeth which they loose early on, AND one set of adult teeth that they shouldn't loose unless their missing something in their diet, or they could loose them due to an injury of some sort.
Reply:At 3 years old, she shouldn't be loosing any teeth. She will not replace these teeth like she did her baby teeth. What you need to do is get her to a vet for an oral exam. Small dogs are especially prone to tooth decay and tooth loss without a lot of extra dental health. If you haven't been brushing her teeth and if you feed her moist/canned food, then I would bet that her teeth are in desperate need of professional cleaning. My Yorkie requires dental cleanings every 1 1/2 years and we ONLY feed dry kibble--no canned food, no moist treats, no table scraps.
Reply:I'm so glad that you want to start brushing your dog's teeth! That is wonderful! First of all, make a trip to the pet store, in the grooming section, and find a dog toothpaste - they usually have it in flavors like peanut butter, poultry, vanilla, etc. These are safe for your dog to swallow. Then pick up a tooth brush as well - for a dog as small as yours, a fingerbrush may work nicely.

First, you will want to introduce your dog just to the taste of the toothpaste. Then, over a few days, just start to rub a bit on her teeth with your finger slowly. After a few days of that, get out just the finger brush, and get her used to the way that feels on her teeth. Finally, add the toothpaste to the brush, and you are set! Make sure you get the big molars in the back, tartar really likes to build up there.

Now that we've discussed tooth brushing, lets discuss the tooth that your dog lost. It is not normal for an adult dog (over the age of 8-10 months), to lose its teeth. There must be some problem that caused your pup to lose its tooth. Either there was trauma to the tooth (hit in the face, fractured it while chewing on something hard, etc) or your pup is suffering from dental disease. Please make an appointment with your vet and take your puppy in to have her mouth examined. She may need to have her teeth professionally cleaned (Which requires anesthesia), and also make sure the tooth that fell out did not leave a root behind. After her teeth are cleaned professionally, brushing will make a HUGE difference!
Reply:A 3 yr old dashaund isn't supposed to loose any teeth.. Check the gum line and the teeth themself. At this age.. almost all dogs need a teeth cleaning, and believe me they don't like their teeth brushed..

Go to the vet.

The centre two bottom teeth on my 5 year old are loose. The reason why I worry is, that, as far as I know, baby teeth start falling out at the top, not the bottom. Also is it not just one, but both of them. The other thing is, that she grinds her teeth at night quite intensely, so I wonder if she did some damage there. The one thing I know is, that she didn't hit them on anything.

I really appreciate any help. Thank you!

Centre bottom teeth on toddler are loose. Damaged or normal?
No... the pattern for losing baby teeth is bottom first usually (except for the canines), and they usually do happen in pairs.

I think everything is fine. It isvery common for children to grind their teeth, and doesn't necessarily mean they will continue this habit aas they get theyir adult teeth.
Reply:The grinding may have loosened them, also bottle rot, although may not have had a bottle for a couple of years. Time for the first dentist visit.
Reply:5 years old is normal to start loosing teeth. I have never heard that they lose teeth on the top first. I think it depends on the kid. It is very normal to have more than one lose tooth at a time. If you suspect there is a serious problem I would get that kid to a dentist so the adult teeth are not damaged when they come in.
Reply:It's a bit like when they get their teeth to begin with; generally they get them on the top first - but that's just generally, not a medical law.

Baby teeth are supposed to fall out, as long as your daughter is brushing regularly and has nice healthy gums then that's the important thing.
Reply:Perfectly normal for the bottom two to come out first, have three kids and all lost the bottom first, followed by top two shortly afterwards.

I would have a word with the dentist though about the grinding.

My 5 yr old girl just knocked her 2 front teeth loose xray shows new 1 aren't even in root how long for new 1s

children normally lose their baby teeth around 7 or 8...so she'll not have teeth until atleast then.

My 5 yr old girl just knocked her 2 front teeth loose xray shows new 1 aren't even in root how long for new 1s
Did u ask the Doctors or Nurses?
Reply:I didn't loose my first tooth until I was seven. It took me a while to grow new ones, whereas my sister lost hers at five, and grew them fast. Depends on the person.
Reply:O BOY!! I don't think you want the answer to this one but.... a while.
Reply:Well my bf's nephew did the same.. his came in around 7 yrs old or so.. and they got knocked out around 5 yrs.. but it all depends on your lil girl.. once the teeth are out it kinda sends a signal to the adult teeth.. I know xrays are bad but if you see no progress after a year I would take another just to see.. good luck..
Reply:NEW, PERMANENT TEETH WILL APPEAR, when she is AROUND SEVEN YEARS OLD. Make sure, she drinks @ least 2 glasses of milk, %26amp; eats, calcium containing foods.
Reply:the permanent incisors , (front teeth going to erupt) ,will normally come out around six or seven .untill then the space occupied by the milk teeth has to be maintained for the permanent teeth and for esthetic reasons ask ur dentist about some space maintainer ..
Reply:Within a year. I'll bet she's cute.
Reply:It will be just a case of waiting to see when they grow an hope sooner rather than later. Without those teeth there for a considerable amount of time, it could take an effect on the placement during growth of the other teeth, it may cause her mouth to become overcrowded - regular, possibly more frequent checks with the dentist will keep this in check, but it may have dictated weather she will need a brace when her adult teeth come through.
Reply:Not 100% sure, but my son had about five teeth pulled out (due to tooth decayed) when he was 4yrs old and he didn't grow new ones until he reached 7-8 years old. Your daughter's teeth should come in around that age. Hope this helps!

I have a niece, she had cancer, chemo and radiaton: teeth loose and gum shrink. Any cures?

How lose are her teeth? How much did the gums shrink?

Ask her dentist if he can splint the teeth from behind, untill the gums are healed (gums can heal). Good Luck for you nice..

I have a niece, she had cancer, chemo and radiaton: teeth loose and gum shrink. Any cures?
Your question is too general. Depending on what type of cancer she had, and what doses of chemo/radiotherapy she received, it is possible that she could be cured.
Reply:My Mom's ex had radiation treatments and his teeth got so bad from it that they started to crumble,he eventually had to get all of them pulled and get dentures.

One of my front bottom teeth feels loose.. help please!?

I had braces taken off about a year and a half ago, and I've been wearing retainers well, except for the last few months, I've only worn them once a week or so and and they are really tight and painful when I put them in now. Does any of this possibly have to do with why the tooth feels looser than the rest? What should I do?

One of my front bottom teeth feels loose.. help please!?
no, i had braces too and had a similar feeling in one of my teeth a while after i had my braces out (i still get the feeling once in a while nearly 5 years later)..... i never thought much about it... i even went to the dentist where they did those teeth xrays and the doc didnt express any concern over any loose teeth... i think its all mental... but go to a dentist for some re-assurance....
Reply:Put it in milk
Reply:um...go to the dentist or orthodontist
Reply:keep wearing your retainers.....I moved and lost mine, and now all my bottom teeth are getting crooked.....you will regret not wearing them
Reply:Pull it off. But it might not re-grow. Use a dental jacket.
Reply:I would see a dentist if you are worried about it. If that is a permentant tooth that is loose, it will tighten back up on its own. You better be wearing that retainer!!! Don't want to end up with braces AGAIN.......
Reply:Does that mean more riches from the tooth fairy?
Reply:I think it would be far better if you ring your dentist and express your concern about your loose tooth.

Here's a little something I have gathered for you to help you understand alittle bit more about your retainers seen as though you seem to be unsure.

But you must make an appointment to see your dentist. Hope all the information provided helps you understand more better about your retainer.

The long answer is: It takes many months for your periodontal ligaments and bone to "remember" the new position of your teeth and keep them in place. The retainer helps keep them in their proper new positions. It's important to wear the retainer exactly as your dentist/orthodontist recommends. Otherwise, your teeth may shift, especially if you stop wearing your retainer in the first two years after your braces come off.

After the initial period is over, your orthodontist will probably tell you that you can switch to wearing your retainer only at night. Be sure to wear it EVERY night for at least 4 to 6 additional months. After that, if everything seems stable, you can probably switch to wearing it only several nights per week (always be sure to ask your orthodontist what he or she recommends).

If you totally stop wearing your retainer, even after a few years, your teeth may begin to move and shift. This is especially true if you have tongue thrust issues or have had extractions. Unless you want crooked teeth again, or want to go back into braces, wear your retainer regularly for the rest of your life -- at least a couple of nights each week! This isn't as bad as it sounds. It just becomes part of your life -- another way to ensure that your smile stays beautiful and healthy!

Take Care!

Can anorexia be making my teeth loose?

they seem to be coming away from the gum and NO i dont purge!

Can anorexia be making my teeth loose?
You're stupid
Reply:Yes, and its doing many other things to your body as well. Your teeth will most likely fall out if you continue, or- it may be too late.
Reply:Well, vomitting would be the thing that makes them loose, so if you don't do it then no...

Vomit contains corrosive stomach acid, so it will definitely deteriorate teeth.
Reply:Anorexia can have many damaging effects to your body, you wont be getting the vitamins you need so it wouldnt suprise me if this is happening.

You may also experience hair loss, grow hair over your body (it does this to keep the body warm) aswell as damage your chance of having children in the future, damage your bones, heart etc etc.

Please go and get help for this, i understand how hard it must be for you but you must get help before it gets worse.
Reply:yes. The damage that you are doing to your body, including starving it of nutrients means that muscles reduce and the body takes longer to heal.

this means that gums do not heal as well and the roots of your teeth are not as strong.

see a DOCTOR or talk toa counscellor ASAP. I doubt there is anything a dentist can do for you, until you are well again.
Reply:yes, it can damage other things as well.

Do you feel your teeth loose after flossing?

Not exactly loose, but it can make me feel some little clicks, which hopefully is just natural flexibility in the ligament combined with the teeth becoming less stuck to eachother.

Do you feel your teeth loose after flossing?
teeth have a little "give"in them. if they continue to feel lose, see your dentist
Reply:no, you shouldn't. If you do then you probably have the start of gum disease you may want to make an appointment to your dentist to make sure. If it is gum disease he will probably send you to a periodontist .

I barely got my braces yesterday does it supose to hurt alot and is it normal dat your teeth are a lil loose?

i barely got ma braces yesterday and it hurts alot and is it normal dat my teeth are kinda loose not alot just a little bit loose

I barely got my braces yesterday does it supose to hurt alot and is it normal dat your teeth are a lil loose?
Yep its normal...however take some Advil for the pain every 6-8 hours..What i found also is put ice cold water in your mouth until you have to swallow it . It would be like putting an ice pack on your knee...good luck ....you should feel better within the week...
Reply:When I got my braces it hurt really bad for about the first 3 days. They also felt like they were loose, even though they're really not.
Reply:Sounds normal. When I first had mines, my whole mouth was sore. Felt like my teeth were loose but they're adjusting to the wires and brackets. I stuck w/soft foods for a while and took pain killer. It'll get better soon. Good luck!
Reply:of course it will hurt, its normal... it happened with me don't worry! and I'm fine now, i removed the braces and I'm OK.

but later on everything will be fine... you won't feel any pain anymore. take care
Reply:Your teeth hurt a lot for a while and they can feel loose, but it's nothing bad. Everything will be fine.
Reply:yes it is normal because there is so much pressure on your teeth
Reply:its normal to hurt. it hurts more than the day u get them. and it may seem like your teeth are loose but its fine

Recently i am getting dreams where i loose my teeth?

Recently in my dreams I lost teeth. what does this imply

Recently i am getting dreams where i loose my teeth?
This is a very common dream.

If you dream of your teeth falling out, you might want to check your teeth. Perhaps the dream is an early warning of a problem or a crown is coming loose. You might taste an abscess at a less than conscious level before you have other symptoms. Any dreams with concrete images of our bodies or parts of our bodies should first be examined as diagnostic information, perhaps of some illness or a tendency toward acquiring some illness. The dream might be telling us our present lifestyle needs to be changed if we are to be healthy.

The next step is to look at how these images are metaphors for something in your life. How did you feel about losing your teeth? What would a lost tooth mean to you? For one person, it might be the fear of loss of attractiveness. To another, it might call up fears of aging and being frail in some way. Perhaps there is something you can't sink your teeth into. Do you use an expression with the word tooth in it? Are you having to fight someone tooth and nail? I would ask the dreamer how not having teeth would feel. Is he worried about not being able to eat? Does she say she can't bite without teeth? If you can't chew, then you can't swallow. I want to know what the dreamer can't swallow in life. Or perhaps the feeling is one of having bitten off more than you can chew. If the teeth feel like they're crumbling, I wonder what might be crumbling or falling apart in the dreamer's life. Does this represent emotions crumbling?

Without the emotions in the dream and the events leading up to the dream, it's hard to speculate on what this dream might mean. You are the final authority on meaning. It isn't something you can look up in a dream dictionary.
Reply:Old folks say it means death or ill health may not be yours but someone close. Sorry for the bad news. I'll pray for you.
Reply:It means danger and you should be careful to do the right thing when the important time comes.
Reply:You probably pissed someone off or did something wrong to author and you feel that you are going to be punished. Maybe, maybe not.
Reply:Here in Brazil people also believe someone close is going to die. I sometimes dream of teeth falling out and no one ever dies in my family after I have these dreams.

Check this site, it has some good explanation.
Reply:This is actually one of the most common dreams people have. It means they are feeling like they are loosing control of thier lives.
Reply:well be glad that it's only a dream.

I recently lost mine FOR REAL.
Reply:Your mind might be playing with metaphors. When we say a law has teeth, we mean it is enforceable. Maybe you are temporarily feeling powerless (toothless) in your life, or lacking the necessary energy for effectiveness. This could be referencing problems with your health, job or relationships. It could be that it is time for a change for the better. I don't think you need to associate it with death in any way.
Reply:It implies that maybe someone in your life doesn't like you for some odd reason and wants to pick a fight with you...just being honest.

You could also have a bully in your life and that person wants to pick a fight with you at some point in time, again...I'm just being honest.

It's only a dream, so don't believe what you dream, because dreams just get one to start thinking, that's all.
Reply:it depends on what happend to you in the previous 24 hours to when you had the dream. think about any specific loss or fear of loss you might have experienced. it doesnt have to be a person or thing, it can be your ego, your privacy, or even your looks. fear of aging can bring this on. also check out this website for other interpretations. http://dreammoods.com/cgibin/teethdreams...
Reply:that you feel powerless over a situation or are unsure of your appearance. try the website listed as my source. its a great site for dream interpretation
Reply:I hear it is a normal dream. I think its like dreaming you are naked.
Reply:I have heard that losing teeth could mean that you have been speaking badly of others. If this does not ring true for you. The other thing it may be a health issue, subconsciously there is a warning. I am not talking of a huge health issue, it could be the littlest thing.
Reply:Dreams that your teeth are falling out are the most common dreams we here at Dream Moods receive. Common dream scenarios include having your teeth crumbling in your hands or your teeth falling out one by one with just a light tap.Such dreams are not only horrifying and shocking, but often leaves the dreamer with a lasting image of the dream. So what does it mean?

One theory is that dreams about your teeth reflect your anxiety about your appearance and how others perceive you. Sadly, we live in a world where good looks are valued highly and your teeth play an important role in conveying that image. Teeth are used in the game of flirtations, whether it be a dazzling and gleaming smile or affectionate necking. These dreams may stem from a fear of your sexual impotence or the consequences of getting old. Teeth are an important feature of our attractiveness and presentation to others. Everybody worries about how they appear to others. Caring about our appearance is natural and healthy.

Another rationalization for these falling teeth dream may be rooted in your fear of being embarrassed or making a fool of yourself in some specific situation. These dreams are an over-exaggeration of your worries and anxiety.

Teeth are used to bite, tear, chew and gnaw. In this regard, teeth represent power. And the loss of teeth in your dream may be from a sense of powerlessness. Are you lacking power in some current situation? Perhaps you are having difficulties expressing yourself or getting your point across. You feel frustrated when your voice is not being heard. You may be experiencing feelings of inferiority and a lack of self-confidence in some situation or relationship in your life. This dream is an indication that you need to be more assertive and believe in the value of your own opinion.

In the latest research, it has been shown that women in menopause have frequent dreams about teeth. This may be related to getting older and/or feeling unattractive and less feminine.

Traditionally, it was thought that dreaming that you did not have teeth, represent malnutrition which may be applicable to some dreamers.

Other Perspectives

A scriptural interpretation for bad or falling teeth indicate that you are putting your faith, trust, and beliefs in what man thinks rather than in the word of God. The bible says that God speaks once, yea twice in a dream or a vision in order to hide pride from us, to keep us back from the pit, to open our ears (spiritually) and to instruct and correct us.

In the Greek culture, when you dream about loose, rotten, or missing teeth, it indicates that a family member or close friend is very sick or even near death.

According to the Chinese, there is a saying that your teeth will fall out if your are telling lies.

It has also been said that if you dream of your teeth falling out, then it symbolizes money. This is based on the old tooth fairy story. If you lose a tooth and leave it under the pillow, a tooth fairy would bring you money.
Reply:Losing your teeth means you are losing the ability to dissect and break down issues in your life. Or you are not using sound judgement when making critical decision and you can't get a grip on how to approach decisions with wisdom.
Reply:~so dont go to argument with anybody.

specially if you are an Indian with bangladeshi...

ha ha (i'm kidding ofcause)
Reply:I agree with BYRON G; it means that u r are loosing control over some area(s) in your life.
Reply:Loosing or loose teeth mean that you have been or are lying a great deal. This is your conscience trying to get your attention.

My dog likes to play tug of war, will that cause her teeth to become loose and fall out?

My dog likes to play tug of war, will that cause her teeth to become loose and fall out? she also likes to hang on and I pick her up, is that harmful?

My dog likes to play tug of war, will that cause her teeth to become loose and fall out?
Won't hurtr her. All dogs play. But don't pick her off the ground by her teeth.
Reply:LOL
Reply:no it makes em stronger when she's older it may pay off to be softer with her, also give her food which helps strengthen teeth
Reply:e
Reply:it will cause your teeth to become loose, the dog will be fine.
Reply:As long as ur feeding it right and taking care of it well, they will fall out if its playing tug of war against a dump truck, otherwhys its fine, let it play tug of war, just not way too rough
Reply:It's bad for puppies, because it can make their teeth crooked. But as far as adult dogs go, there's no problem with that. Dogs use their teeth for everything.
Reply:No it shouldn't dogs teeth tend to be alot stronger than humans. It's how they pick things up. Every dog I know loves tug of war.
Reply:no it is ok it will make her teeth really strong but give her good food and dont over do it and if she is old then dont do it at all
Reply:What breed is it? Tugging does not hurt their teeth. If she is young you will notice some bleeding when she starts losing her teeth but don't fret. I have American Bulldogs and they play tug and will hang from a tree for up to 10 minutes. Superior jaw strength. It's not harmful at all
Reply:This will not harm her teeth, although it may cause her to because a bit more aggressive. If a dog believes that they can fight you for a toy, then it is no longer a priviledge for them to play with the toy, they believe it is theres to begin with. But rest assured, her teeth will stay put. No dog will play until their teeth fall out, she'll relent and give you the toy first.
Reply:Yes it may pull some of her teth but then again some puppies do lose their teeth just like humans, a few of them anyways.

Yes picking up your pup when it is holding on a rag may not only harm her teeth but her spine and her jaws.

Anything that could harm a human chld will harm a dog especially a puppy.

Tug of war is fun for the dog and if done right along with other traiing it does bond the dog to you.

Remember though you are the Alpha in a dog human realtionship, and every dog should be trained to "Drop IT" at your command.

Actually better if you use one word, "Drop" would suffice and always the same word.

I( have saved many a puppys teeth and have them in a little jar.

Wierd huh?
Reply:I would not play tug of war, because that gives the dog a chance to challenge your authority. I would pick them up by the ears like our political god, the amazing, intelligent, and sensational Lyndon Baines Johnson, 36th president of the United States used to do. Incidentally, Beagles are the best kind of dogs for this sort of activity and while I was doing this, I would yell out at the top of my lungs, ALL THE WAY WITH LBJ! Just like I used to do in the old days. Incidentally in that connedtion, if old LBJ was in the White House, then he would know what to do and we would not be in the mess that we are in now.
Reply:It will make her teeth stronger, but when you play with her make sure that you win always that'll teach her that you are boss!
Reply:LOL. Ok pulling her by her teeth will cause her to damage them. But did you know dogs have two sets of teeth? "milk teeth" are their first set of teeth which they lose in a couple of months. I recommend you take it easy on the tug-of-war untill she's older, but it should cause her teeth to fall out.

What does it mean when you loose your teeth in dreams?

Recently in all of my dreams at some point Teeth just fall out of my mouth. I wake up feeling around with my tongue to make sure they are all there. what does this mean?

What does it mean when you loose your teeth in dreams?
In general it probably has associations with loss
Reply:to dream of loosing your teeth is mostly a really bad dream, it portends the loss of a friend or relative, to dream they all fall out is a sign of your own demise, they say after you've had a bad dream like this, bite it against something wooden and pray that whatever the bad dream means doesnt come true, its only a saying but it worked for me, i hope it works for you too.
Reply:Wow... I have this happen alot too. I know that I need some dental work. I recently did lose half of a tooth and I had to have it fixed. I think it is your body's way of telling you to have your teeth checked.

: )
Reply:To many Spanish people it means a death is on the horizon. No, it does not mean yours, someone that you know.
Reply:very intersting reading, above answers. but you see, it means somethign different for differnet people. it represents an anxiety of yours. it could be about actual dental work, but most likely not. have you ever had a fear of losing your teeth? i used to have one, and thats what caused my dreams. whats sure though, is look at what emotion you experience during the dream - relate this to what is happening in your life, thats what it means for YOU.
Reply:Definitely if there's a chance you might have tooth problems, I'd have it checked out. However, usually loosing teeth is a dream about feeling powerless--having no "bite" in other words. Is something going on where you feel like you don't have much control or that makes you feel ignored?

One of my dogs lower front teeth is missing and now the one next to it is loose. He is a pit mix an 5 yrs old.

He is very healthy, active and seems fine. The one small tooth is gone and the second one next to it turned a brown color and is loose. He does not seem to mind if I look at it and even move it a bit, thats how I found out it was loose. Every other tooth looks white and healthy. His gums look really good and he is happy, eating well. Anyone ever have this problem with their dog? He does chew alot of rawhides and natual bones as well.

One of my dogs lower front teeth is missing and now the one next to it is loose. He is a pit mix an 5 yrs old.
My neighbor had a dog with "separation anxiety" and would actually bite at the gate when they'd leave. He gradually lost all 4 lower front teeth to biting so hard in a frenzy. Have your vet check his teeth....if he's losing them to gum disease or some other infection, then it needs to be taken care of by them. Rawhide and natural bones should not cause teeth to fall out.....something else is going on. It's vet time for your little boy.
Reply:Sorry, this is the dental forum--for people. Ask a veterinarian.

Periodontal Disease - loose most or all of my teeth?

I have been told I have advanced periodontal disease and will loose most of my teeth including all the front teeth and all the back teeth with only a few in the middle (top and bottom both sides). Do I have all my teeth pulled knowing that keeping the few teeth that are salvageable will most likely cost allot of money, or is it worth it to keep the few with partial dentures and risk further problems ultimately leading to having them all pulled eventualy.

The main question is which is better partials or full dentures?

Periodontal Disease - loose most or all of my teeth?
It depends on several things, your age, your medical history, your hygiene. What perio class you are?

And really and turthfully how much money you're willing to spend on your teeth.

I have a perio 4 patient, really advanced perio, 8 mm pocket depths, class II mobility, smoker. She does have a few a few good teeth. She asked what would happen if she decideded to keep her teeth, we told her she may undego several surgeries, gingival grafts ...etc the succes of these procedure relies greatly on patient maintenance, we discussed the prices %26amp; healing time.

I think she going to have the rest of her teeth removed, %26amp; get dentures. That being said she has other more serious health issues, and she was realistic saying that she may not be able 2 keep up with the cleaning.

Me personally if i had the finances and stuff, I would try to save my own teeth.
Reply:Keeping your own teeth is usually better than dentures...but it sounds like you are past that. Keeping teeth for you means infection and more loss.
Reply:If you can keep your cuspids(eye teeth), those are good to hang on to. They are also usually the last teeth to go when you have periodontal disease, because they have very long roots. If you can save them, then you can anchor a good partial denture to them and be in pretty good shape. Of course, you would need to keep up good oral hygiene and see a hygienist probably three or four times a year to keep the periodontal disease from claiming those teeth, too. Gum disease is never cured, it is only maintained. But, if you lose all of your teeth, especially if you are still pretty young, your chances of having to deal with poorly fitting dentures is pretty high, because over time, with no teeth to support, the jaw bone deteriorates, leaving nothing for the denture to grip onto. This is why you see people whose teeth seem to "float" when they talk, or, if you were like me, and had a family member who could "pop" their teeth out at you as a child and scare the #%%26amp;* out of you.

Are scottish terrier puppies supposed to loose their baby teeth ?

my puppy looses his baby teeth at an alarming rate , is it normal?

Are scottish terrier puppies supposed to loose their baby teeth ?
ALL puppies lose their baby teeth. A dog's growth is very accelerated compared to that of humans. They become adolescents and then fully mature dogs by age 2. The puppy stages progress very rapidly, and it may seem like they lose their puppy teeth at an "alarming rate" but this is a normal pace for dogs. It's common to find little teeth on the floor on a regular basis. Provide lots of toys and bones for chewing... your puppy needs to chew more than usual while he is teething.
Reply:Ask a vet. I know they're supposed to lose them, but I don't think at such a pace.
Reply:this is very normal, so not to worry.
Reply:yes all dog loose there baby teeth its norrmal so you dont have to worry just take good care of your dog and just keep him or her the healtyest it can be :)
Reply:all dogs loose there teeth.DOgs are like humans some loose there teeth VERY quickly and others loose them slowly. If you are truely conserned ask your vet.
Reply:all dogs loose their baby teeth. there's nothing to worry about.
Reply:All puppies lose baby teeth...some lose them quicker than others..It's not something to worry about, but if it was me and was worried i would take him to the vet ASAP.
Reply:yeah honey it is very normal. It is like a child loosing their baby teeth. it is natural but the pup may be cranky for a couple days.
Reply:all pups lose their junior teeth
Reply:my miniature dachshund lost her teeth so i guess they are.
Reply:YES pups are like human babies!!!
Reply:Yep mine did I found them all over the house !!
Reply:Yes it's fine. Some dogs loose them slowly, like one or two @ a time. Or they can loose them rapidly. That's just part of being a puppy. RELAX :)

Are puppies supposte to loose baby teeth!? plese HELP!!!?

my 5 month puppy just lost one of his back baby teeth!

is that normal??

Are puppies supposte to loose baby teeth!? plese HELP!!!?
Yep.

Dogs have "baby teeth" as well as adult ones. They usually start losing the puppy teeth at around 4-6 mos, depending on breed. This is good. Those puppy teeth are sharp little needles to help them break down the kibble. Once they begin chewing (instead of nursing) they also begin to strengthen their jaw muscles. Once these are better developed they do not have need of such sharp little needle teeth; they can crush and grind their food instead of splintering it.

Your pup will be teething until he is about a year old, now, so be sure and provide good quality chew toys like nylabones, kongs, etc. Rawhides are good for helping extract the puppy teeth but make sure he does not bite off and swallow large pieces, as they can swell in the digestive tract and cause blockages.
Reply:YES! Don't panic, just like a human, puppies lose their teeth too.
Reply:Yes, this is very normal. Puppies lose their baby teeth just like human babies do. Don't fret, your pup will grow in his adult, permanent teeth soon. :o)
Reply:Yes, they start losing their baby teeth at about 16 weeks and the adult teeth should be in by about 6 months.
Reply:Absolutely normal. Like adults puppies lose baby teeth and get replaced with adult teeth. Nothing to worry about. Best of Luck! =]
Reply:Yes, don't worry!
Reply:Sure, they lose them just like people do!!! Don't expect to find alot of them, cause they usually swallow them and it's ok. I have 2 rat terriers and I have ALOT of their baby teeth I found, which was surprising to me!
Reply:yes it is very normal my dog did ...not to worry this is very normal theres works just like our does
Reply:Yep, totally. AND! the new permanent teeth won't be as wicked pointy as the old ones. Hooray!
Reply:Yes, my dog lost hers . . . I found 4 of them. The grew back in as her adult teeth!
Reply:yes, completely normal. they have one set of deciduous teeth and one set of permanent teeth, just like humans. He´s at the right age for it too.
Reply:yes. theyre mammals so they lose baby teeth. its completely fine. just make sure they dont choke on it or something.

and no tug-o-war. it make their teeth crooked.
Reply:yes there just like us they have baby teeth and adult teeth but just becareful when the new teeth come in cause there gums are soft and can cause damage when play rough or eat to hard of food or treats
Reply:Yes- Puppies (just like Human Babies) lose their Baby or Milk-Teeth - which are then replaced by the 2nd (Permanent) set of Teeth, to include Molar-Teeth.
Reply:Yep all dogs have baby teeth, but don't expect to find them after they fall out. Your dog most likely swallowed them. My puppy went through it and yours will to. :)
Reply:yes they do! I rememebr having a puppy and I freaked out when we were playing and she lost her tooth! : )

Are dogs suppose to loose there teeth?

my little chihuahua chica is 5 months old. she lost 2 teeth this week. is that suppose to happen?

Are dogs suppose to loose there teeth?
They sure do lose their teeth. And yours is right on time, too ... it usually happens between 4 and 6 months. Sometimes they even lose a bunch at once, which can look pretty strange!

But the adult teeth grow in quickly, so don't worry. Your pup might be a little cranky while she's losing teeth and growing new ones, and she may be a little less interested in her food than usual. You might even notice her mouth bleeding from time to time. Again, nothing to worry about. But with a tiny breed like a Chihuahua, you have to make sure she does eat. If she's refusing food, call your vet. Otherwise, she should be fine!

Enjoy your puppy!
Reply:Yes they are her baby teeth.
Reply:Yes, they will lose their baby teeth and grow new ones in, dogs lose their teeth all through their lives, but when the adult teeth are lost, they do not grow back,.......
Reply:Yes, because I assume they are her baby teeth. Her adult teeth should be along soon---she should not lose those.
Reply:Yes, they lose their puppy teeth and get their adult teeth. Normal.
Reply:Yes she is getting ready for her adult teeth.
Reply:yes they do it's their baby teeth but their adult teeth grow after they fall out.
Reply:Yes dogs loose their teeth just like humans. Although with a small breed or any dog it is a little hard to find them all, sometimes they will swallow the tooth. I kept my Bichon's baby teeth and put them in a scrap book just like you would a baby. I found all but two. The usually loose them in sets of two, so that is completely normal. Make sure to give your dog a present from the puppy tooth faerie, like a toy or a cookie he might really love.
Reply:yes all dogs do,they start falling out at about 4 and five months
Reply:at this age all puppies lose their baby teeth just like humans do.

completely normal

At what age do dogs loose their teeth?

I have a nine-month-old miniature weiner dog and he seems to have excess teeth that he should have lost already. At what age should all a puppies teeth have fallen out?

At what age do dogs loose their teeth?
My personal experience with puppies-dachshunds included has been that they lose them well before 6 months. Take a trip to your local vet to get a professional opinion. If you paid for a pure bred with papers, you may also want to contact the breeder to see if there are any hereditary issues they may know about. Love your puppy no matter what though!
Reply:Around 6 months of age they should have all their adult teeth. It's not uncommon though for smaller breeds especially to retain some baby teeth. If he isn't neutered yet, they can remove those baby teeth while he is anesthetized for the neuter. Otherwise they should be removed anyway before they cause the adult teeth to move into poor positions.

Sometimes (less commonly though) dogs can have extra adult teeth, which should also be removed if they are causing the bite to be abnormal.
Reply:They start losing their teeth at 3months old and they should have lost all of their puppy teeth at about 6/7 months old. If ur dog seems 2 have extra teeth he may still have some puppy teeth left. So take him 2 the vet and they will justify if indeed they r puppy teeth and they may have to take them out 2 avoid overcrowding and infection 2 the adult teeth.

When to puppies loose their teeth?

I have a approx 12 week old german shepard pup we put her in her kennel at night and she has a calf hoof, a raw hide bone and a chew toy in there for the night well over the last three days I have found two teeth in her kennel and I was wondering if that was normal?

When to puppies loose their teeth?
That's about the right age.....between 3 and 5 months!
Reply:My puppy is about 4 months and I actually found one of his teeth! They usually swallow them because they lose them while they are eating or chewing on something. I think by 6 months, they should have lost all their baby teeth. Your puppy is probably just chewing on her toys and they fall out. Its okay thats what there suppose to do!
Reply:Rawhide and hooves are not suitable for puppies. They usually start by losing their bottom front teeth at 17 weeks.
Reply:Usually 15 or 16 weeks or so they'll start to lose their teeth, chewing anything and everything. The hoof isn't a good thing to chew, even tho they say that they won't splinter off, it's not true. I have seen them splinter..

She is likely slightly older than what you were figuring if she is losing her teeth.
Reply:Puppies have 28 temporary teeth (called puppy teeth or milk teeth) that start coming in at about 4 weeks of age. They generally fall out between 14 and 30 weeks of age and are replaced by 42 adult teeth.
Reply:Puppies can start losing their milk teeth (baby front teeth)around 12 weeks of age. I wouldn't recommend the cow hoof or the rawhide for so young a puppy. It's digestive system is probably not developed well enough for those abd she could get loose stools or an obstruction. Try a puppy Nylabone instead of those. Rawhides are generally not recommended until 6 months.
Reply:yah that is it is better that they loose them than them rotting and having to get a vet to take them out. Put them under youre pups pillow and let the tooth farie take them and leave more hooves

Do dogs loose their teeth when they grow old? Is this normal?

My dog is 17 years old ,of mixed breed, have been found to have lost its fangs in front and seems to have difficulty chewing its food.I also noticed that some of its teeth have loosen(seems to be).Does my dog needs vitamin supplement ?

Do dogs loose their teeth when they grow old? Is this normal?
Yes dogs lose teeth as they age. I had a poodle who had to have a most of her teeth removed due to poor health care by her previous owner. But she was as happy as could be with the few teeth she had. And she had fresher breath since her decayed teeth were removed.
Reply:it is normal for your dog to lose teeth, but i dont know when they're old
Reply:some breeds lose them faster then others. Wow 17 is an old dog, you must be doing something right. Do you get his teeth cleaned? He may be too old to undergo anesthesia. Just feed him soft food and call your vet. Good luck!
Reply:All the dogs iv had in the past, never lost their teeth, but for your dog, thats very old age, so i would ask your vet if i was you !!
Reply:Yes, it's somewhat normal. But, he needs a vet check-they might be hurting him and that's why he can't chew well. He might need some teeth pulled.
Reply:Yes. Most dogs don't live long enough for their teeth to wear or rot out, but they're really no different than us when it comes to tooth decay. Start giving him food that's easy to chew and be sure you have your vet take a close look to ensure no infections develop in there.
Reply:your dog is in a state of extreme old age. losing teeth is totally to be expected. he's lucky he has any left at all.
Reply:Perfectly normal. Ask your vet about the vitamins.
Reply:Yes dogs will eventually lose their teeth, just like us humans. But you can prevent them from loosing their teeth much earlier. It all depends on the diet and food the dogs get. It is also advisable to brush their teeth regularly. You can also get them dentabone which helps with the plarc and gingervitus on the teeth and gums. You can also get your dogs teeth checked regularly at the vet once a month to ensure they have healthy teeth like us. You can also give your dog Bob Martins daily which has vitimans that is required for them.
Reply:The dog is old, and just like people, their teeth rot and fall out. It's normal. 17 yrs is OLD!
Reply:my dog has started to lose teeth so maybe it is normal.
Reply:Dogs are like people in many ways. Yes they can lose them just like we do.
Reply:Yas that is normal! Generally most people dont experience theyre dog losing its teeth because they don't normally live that long! Your dog is 17 that is extremly old!! Just ask your vet about vitimans and just carry on the same! Be really careful and gentle with your dog. It is an OAD!

(Old age dog)
Reply:Yes, is normal, when you do its food try to cut so small it, so the dog can eat better....
Reply:Alot of older dogs do start to lose their teeth. As long as it can still chew, I wouldn't be too concerned about it. After all, it's seventeen years old! I would not start giving any vitamins at this age unless you check with your vet first.
Reply:feed canned food that is mushie. its totally normal for this to happen. its the aging process. Look at people as we get older things loosen up and we fall apart. a supplement wouldn't hurt but ask your vet first and get a reccomendation from him as to brand.
Reply:NO, your dog needs a VET for treatment! Proper care of the teeth would have prevented this problem with your dog. That's what VETS do, take care of animals.
Reply:cant add anything that hasnt already been said except for congratualting you on being such a great owner that your dog has made it to such a great age in such great health.

all the best to you and your dog

Reply:Yes, normal. i'm sure some supplements might help with his immune system generally. Also, you might want to try to give him soft foods from now....talk to yur vet on this as well.

Do cats loose their teeth with old age?

My cats about 14 and I have noticed that most of her teeth have gone, her gums seem black yet she is eating ok.

Is this something to worry about or is it old age?

Do cats loose their teeth with old age?
Cats are not supposed to loose their teeth with age. If they do, it usually a sign of a problem, or periodontal disease. Something they may lose the tops of their teeth (the crown), but still retain the roots. I would recommend seeing a vet about a dental cleaning. They'll clean her remaining good teeth, and check for any problems under the gum line.

note* cats with dental pain show little or no pain, so if she's having dental problems she may not be showing any signs of pain.
Reply:yes. my cat is 13 and she lost some of her teeth. and my cats gums are darkish brownish so yes she seems fine
Reply:Only with advancing dental disease. Get A dental check up for kitty.
Reply:It sounds like your cat has a serious problem. Take her to an animal dentist or vet. I've had cats 16-20 years old and they never lost any teeth.
Reply:She has or had an oral infection that attacked her gums. Get her checked out. My cat is 17 and has all of his teeth.
Reply:yes
Reply:simple answer yes they do loose their teeth due to age
Reply:my Grandma's cat was about 14 and she was losing her teeth grandma had to start buying soft food.
Reply:MY cat lost its teeth when it was about 8 so that was quite young for her!!! But it didnt stop her gnawing on a bone that was put out for the dog!!! You should have seen her dragging it in through the window, was really funny!! But seriously, any animal that is gettign on in years do lose teeth just the same as us humans do, so I wouldnt worry about it too much.
Reply:Yes my cat has the same problem. Not much you can do im afraid.I even have to mash my cats food for him but hes worth it.
Reply:All animals or any living this has a life span. At the end of the life span any living things loose everything and dies. Aging factor. Just like when we become old age we loose our eyesight, teeth we loose, we cannot hear through our ears, etc. Likewise, cats also loose everything as it becomes older.
Reply:Keeping teeth in cats is a good thing..however in some cases of sweeteners like foamy creamed milk or sweets that are addictive to cats. Ice creams etc, are all subjects to sources of tooth decay. Some cats love the sweet so much that they need it every week and as a result lose one or two teeth. At a later age the remaining teeth become weaker and may decay but you would know if this was a problem as the cat would not sleep due to the pain caused. Check with your local vet and get the run down. It might be a protein deficiency that can easily be regulated.
Reply:While cats can lose their teeth due to age: This sounds more like a possible case of periodental disease than an age issue.

Like humans, cats and dogs need good dental care to ensure that their teeth and gums are healthy.

Gum disease, is generally caused from tarter build-up. If the tarter is left without treatment, it will eventually cause severe inflammation and gingivitis.

However, continually left untreated these tarter build-ups created in the cats mouth will cause periodontal disease which is very painful for the animal.

This in turn leads to loose teeth, abscesses and infection.

My advice - I would take your cat to the vet, to have her teeth checked up.

Hope this helps!

I also provided a link about dental care for your kitty.
Reply:Cats don't lose their teeth with age -- usually through gum disease or gingivitis. But if your cat is still able to eat, she should be okay!
Reply:yer they do mine did and my friends did lol they manage to eat because they get used to it as they lose one tooth at a time so the gums toughen up...................... nope nothing to worry about its just old age my cat lived for another 5 years after losin her teeth so she should be ok but if your worried id go see your local vet see what they think .
Reply:One of my cats lost lots of her teeth and we didn't relies.

She started losing weight so I took her to the vets and that's what was wrong so we started giving her softer food and she lived a lot longer.
Reply:It seems to be normal, but if you're at all concerned contact the vets for advice.
Reply:Cats, like people, lose teeth for various reasons. I have had cats live as long as 24 years without losing any teeth. The most frequent cause of tooth loss in cats is the same as in humans - gum disease.

Cats need their teeth cleaned regularly which many of them don't get. However, if your cat is able to eat, then don't worry but keep an eye on her remaining teeth. If she loses them all eating could be problematic.
Reply:It does happen with old age, just like humans, but also if her diet has not been right, and she has tartar built up, again like humans, this will hasten the tooth loss. Why not take her to the vet to see if she needs remaining teeth to be cleaned.

I keep having dreams my teeth are falling out or they're loose. What does THAT mean?

I'll have these dreams where my teeth are so loose they're about to fall out. Or they just start to fall out one by one. Yikes!!

I keep having dreams my teeth are falling out or they're loose. What does THAT mean?
Have you added anything to your diet lately that might be harmful? Any sugars or drinks that could erode the chrome off a bumper? Are you a closet PEZ addict?

In lieu of "someone's going to die", maybe your dream is simply telling you not to eat or drink something you've begun to eat or drink.
Reply:I had this dream. I looked it up in a book about dream interpretation. It said - go and have your teeth checked. Well, at the time I was a broke college student and hadn't been to the dentist in years. So I went, had a few problems taken care of, and haven't had the dream since. Report It

Reply:THats bad luck...means someone is gonna die...
Reply:Try this:

Reply:i had that dream last night too!
Reply:This is a classic dream that occurs when you feel powerless or helpless about some situation.
Reply:i actually heard that when u dream of your teeth falling out that means that some one is going to die, and if they were loose then some one is very sick.
Reply:yeah, me too, i dont know what they mean thoough...it's very strange and scary, huh?
Reply:Gum disease. Go to a dentist.
Reply:I also heard that means someone is going to die if they fall out
Reply:don't try to read into it that much. maybe you are fearing that you will lose something in your life, it doesn't have to be your teeth, but maybe thats the way your dreams interpret it. i wouldnt lose any sleep on it though, just try to look at your life and see if you are fearing anything.
Reply:It means you at PorkChops before bed. You are OK.
Reply:I have found in most cases that when you have a dream that your teeth are falling out, you are clinching or grinding your teeth at night. If you have a regular dentist, have them check to see if you have signs of it on your teeth. They may recommend that you wear a night guard when you are sleeping.
Reply:It means bad dream
Reply:I've had the same dreams on occasion. They only started after I had my braces removed as an adult. Some were so intense I literally woke up just to check my teeth. Even though I wear full dental trays while I sleep to prevent damage from teeth-grinding, my dentist and orthodontist think it's my subconscious being "conscious" of my extensive dental work. Who knows? Anyway, take "Justine's" advice and look into getting dental trays to prevent erosion from grinding your teeth.

Do puppies loose there teeth?

Yorkie puppy, male, he has lost about 4 teeth

Do puppies loose there teeth?
Yes, they do. They loose them fast too. Their grown-up teeth come in pretty quickly also. My puppy just lost his last one, I actually have some of them. Sometimes you can find them on the carpet.
Reply:yeah
Reply:yes, they do.
Reply:yes just like humans!
Reply:Yes, all puppies lose their teeth, which are replaced by adult teeth. This process is usually complete by the time they are spayed or neutered (around 6 months of age). Small breeds will occasionally retain their deciduous (baby) canine teeth. These are the sharp pointy ones. If this happens, the teeth need to be removed at the time of the spay/neuter. If this is not done, it can lead to future dental problem with an increase in the cost to fix.
Reply:yuppers
Reply:Yes they do. Just like human babies, puppies also lose their "baby teeth" . And just like babies, puppies feel discomfort during their "teething" stage. You can offer your puppy ice cubes to chew on to ease the discomfort.
Reply:yes they do!!! just like any animal and human with teeth they are replaced with adult teeth...
Reply:yes there like kids and they grow back dont trip.
Reply:yes and so do cats.

Do puppies loose there teeth?

Yorkie puppy, male, he has lost about 4 teeth

Do puppies loose there teeth?
yes puppies lose their teeth. my dog did when she was a puppy, they grow in again and they only usualy lose them once like us.
Reply:yup... just like kids. His adlut teeth will come in soon. :-)
Reply:yes just like kids do before they get adult teeth
Reply:Yes all pups loose their milk teeth and the perment teeth will come in. They also loose their molars. Make sure you have some good chew toys around to help the new teeth come in.
Reply:Yes they do... and they swallow them... but it's all good.
Reply:Yes they lose their puppy teeth.
Reply:Yeah... My Husky did that when she was a Puppy...
Reply:Yes, They get adult teeth just like humans.
Reply:Yes, usually they swallow them. It doesn't hurt them. The pup that is. Not the dog LOL
Reply:Don't worry. All puppy's loose they're teeth. Its like how humans loose they're teeth. He mite swallow them, so watch him closely. Its OK though if he does. He'll probably try to eat food without chewing good enough, so watch out for that too.

Hope I helped!!!!!
Reply:LOL! Yes they do! Just like kids. They loose their molars too. Funny part is they don't leave them for the tooth fairy. Sometimes they eat them!
Reply:Yep they sure do.

My shepard puppy got hold of a coconut and within a week he lost alll his baby teeth and the new ones were already visible.

I got another puppy and while playing with her, I found out that she had a loose tooth. Remember how your teeth would get loose and kinda just be hanging on by the nerve when you were a child? My puppy had the EXACT thing. lol

Once they have a lot of stuff to chew on, the irritation of the new teeth or the irritation of losing those stubborn teeth is eased for the puppy.

My puppies sure do love that coconut to chew on.
Reply:some puppys loose there teath and others swallow there teath but dont worry about it the teath turn into celcium for the dog so if they swallow dont worry.
Reply:yes, this is completely normal. They lose them just like we do.Sometimes you'll find the teeth but then sometimes they do end up swallowing them which is completely normal also and it doesn't hurt them. Just beware of maybe a little more chewing on things right now since the puppy is losing its baby teeth.
Reply:And a good thing they do. Can you imagine having a dog with those sharp, needle teeth all their life.
Reply:Yes they do and if you plan on getting it fixed ask the doctor when you take him in to pull any remaining puppy teeth, my vet pulled out 3 of our puppies teeth for her because she kept swallowing them.
Reply:yes, it is normal... puppies lose their milk teeth and it will be a permanent one after the milk teeth is gone.

note: give it some balls or toys... this will help loosen the tooth!
