Do dogs loose their teeth?

Dogs have 28 Deciduous "Baby" teeth and 42 Permanent teeth. Adult teeth shouldn't fall out. It just like humans if one of your teeth feel out there was a lot of disease invovled with that tooth and is really painful. Its the same for dogs, dental disease can be very painful. Regular trips to your vet and keeping up with keeping your dogs teeth can make your dog much healthier and happier. There are many new products to help prevent peridontal disease.

talk to you vet about a dental regimen for your dog. sometimes they do have to have teeth cleanings (the dog is put under anesthesia) and the teeth are cleaned like at the dentist. you can also brush your dogs teeth and use dental chews at home.
