My cousin is 13 years old and she has quite a few loose teeth mostly in front. She has all of her adult teeth and she said she noticed they were a little loose about 6 months ago but she keeps messing with them and wiggling them with her fingers and her tongue. I told her to quit messing with them or they%26#039;ll get so loose they%26#039;ll be falling out, but she don%26#039;t believe me and won%26#039;t listen. Her mom keeps telling her to leave them alone too but she won%26#039;t. Now some are so loose they move a couple mm%26#039;s with just a little tongue pressure. Her mom told her if her she ruins her teeth and they fall out she%26#039;ll just have to go toothless but it doesn%26#039;t seem to be sinking in. How loose can her teeth get before they can%26#039;t be saved? Is she headed for dentures already at her age?

OMG, tell her to get to a dentist quick!! AND quit fiddling with her loose teeth it will only make them looser faster. It might not be too late to save at least some of her teeth. Something like that happened to me and I didn%26#039;t think anyting of it at first cuz they were only a little loose and I figured it would go away on its own. It didn%26#039;t and my teeth kept getting looser then my front teeth started falling out and I ended up losing all my teeth. She%26#039;s pretty young to be havin that happen but if they%26#039;re that loose she%26#039;s probly gonna start losin them real soon.
Reply:She should be going to the dentist every six months. A dentist can answer that question. If her parents don%26#039;t care that she%26#039;ll loose her teeth, I seriously don%26#039;t think they will go to the expense of dentures. It%26#039;s a shame when parents don%26#039;t take care of their children%26#039;s teeth.
Reply:Hopefully these are baby teeth. But if they are not, she needs to see a dentist ASAP. I have never heard of someone as young as 13 having loose teeth, being adult teeth. One of the reasons that could cause this is bad oral hygiene. Meaning, if shes not brushing/flossing and getting her teeth cleaned every 6 months, she could have some kind of gum disease. Which in the later stages causes bone loss, and therefore your teeth get loose because the root of the tooth has nothing to hold on to. I would ask her if her gums bleed or ever hurt her as well. Please tell her to get to a dentist, because once you have gum disease (with bone loss) or loose teeth, there is no way to reverse it. Good Luck!
Reply:If her teeth are loose they are eventually going to fall out. There is nothing that could fix loose teeth. You have to floss and brush your teeth every day and see a dentist every six months or this is what happens. She probably will be forced to wear dentures before too long if it is as serious as you say.
Reply:I%26#039;m not a dentist but it sounds like she should start getting used to the idea of gumming her food. If her teeth are that loose for as long as you say they%26#039;re proabaly going to fall out or have to be pulled out before very long. If she keeps moving them around they%26#039;ll never tighten up if it%26#039;s even possible they could. She%26#039;ll probably be toothless or wearing dentures before very long I%26#039;m afraid.
Reply:well, at 13 she should have all of her adult teeth. as for them being loose, roots develope slowly after the crown part of the tooth. if she keeps bothering them, she could cause resortption of the developing structure and cause permanent damage. have you taken her to the family dentist about this? she first needs to have them examined and xrayed,. they may recommend some form of orthodontics (braces) to stabalize the teeth until all is developed. there are bars that can be cemented on the tongue side of teeth (no one can see them this way) to stabalize teeth. another concern is the rare occurance of childhood periodontal disease, it is rare but without seeing her, i cant say for sure. just take her to the dentist.
Reply:I don%26#039;t know if its too late to save them or not but it sounds bad to me. If her teeth move that much so easy it%26#039;s probly too late to save them. What happened? She get hit in the mouth, or just not take care of her teeth or what? No matter what happened I think she won%26#039;t have to worry about them much longer cuz they%26#039;ll be falling out. Even if she gets to a dentist quick there might not be too much they could do to save them that would really work. Like they say, %26quot;No garantees%26quot;.

She/or you, need to read this. I am an adult with two loose teeth that are almost back to being totally tight, and I have only used this for a little over 2 months. It is hard not to mess with your teeth when they are loose! Be glad it is not you........
