Retainer can cause loose teeth?

Its been a while like 4 months or so since i have worn my retainers, so i decided yesterday would be a good time to wear them again, so i put them on for both upper and lower jaw , they hurt so bad, they still fit though. But the next morning when i tried to take them off, they hurt even worse and i felt one of my teeth in the back became loose as if is going to fall off , but it is still intact when i felt it. Is this normal will my teeth feel like its normal again or do i have to see a dentist. Should i also keep wearing the retainers

Retainer can cause loose teeth?
What is happening is that the teeth actually do become slightly loose because they are moving back in position because your retainer is moving them to fit properly. You do not need to see your orthodontist unless you cannot put the retainer in. You need to continue wearing your retainer as directed. The pain and soreness should go away in about three days, until then just take ibuprophen to help with the pain, but wear you retainer.
