How Many Teeth Too Loose For Braces?

My Daughter we think is going to have to have braces she has 2 more to loose she is 11 and how many teeth does sh ehave to loose to get braces?

How Many Teeth Too Loose For Braces?
It all depends of the size of her mouth. The orthodontist would be the judge of how many teeth she needs to lose. Some people need to lose more than others. If she has a small mouth she would need teeth removed, if she has a larger mouth but just has crooked teeth than she may not need to lose any. Ask your orthodontist and trust him/her. I do know some one who did not listen to their orthodontist when he wanted to pull teeth, so they did not pull any. The child had braces for several years, then after having them taken off it was not long before the teeth started shifting back and became crooked again. All because they did not listen and remove teeth. Good Luck.
Reply:Thanks for "Best Answer" vote, I meant big, or small mouth according to size not talkativeness. If there is not enough room then teeth must be pulled to do a good job. Good luck to your daughter! Report It

Reply:I had to wait till I lost all of mine.
Reply:She has to lose all of her baby teeth before she can get braces. Then the orthodontist will take top and bottom impressions of her teeth and see if any need to be pulled in order for her teeth to line up correctly. I had to get four teeth pulled in order to get my braces because my mouth was too small and I had too many teeth. They all wouldn't have lined up correctly if I would have kept them in. good luck to your daughter. It will all be worth it in the end.
