I am only 21 and 6 of my bottom teeth are loose??

6 of my bottom teeth are loose and it has been that way since my last pregnancy which was 6 months ago...i know that a baby drains everything from your body and i am not breast feeding anymore so i am stumped and now there more loose then they were then.

Are my teeth going to fall out???

I very rarely have calcium so i thought that maybe that was why this is happening and i am going to get some calciam tablets to see if that helps...I am also going to see a dentist but it takes 3-6 months on a waiting list here in Australia before i can get in.

Would anyone have a clue what this could be and if so is there things i can do to help my teeth and gums..I brush my teeth by the way..

Also I am aware of the disease called periodontitis and if that is what this is does anyone know what i can do to fix it while i wait to get into the dentist????

Yup, you are causing your own teeth to fall out. You don't have enough calcium. When you are pregnant and don't drink milk and take calcium you don't have enough for the baby. So your body robs it from your teeth and bones and gives it to the baby. For goodness sakes don't be stupid. Drink a glass of milk at each meal. Have yogurt for breakfast. Take calcium magnesium supplements everyday. If you start that today you might save your teeth. If not your friends can start calling you toothless.

Some women have lost multiple teeth while pregnant by not having enough calcium. Don't let it happen to you.
Reply:loose teeth can be a sign of another illness, go to a family doctor they may help u.

Reply:I agree with the answer above. You do need to go ahead to a family Dr just to rule out anything else. But I would still make an appointment to a dentist. Tell them it's an emergency. My sister has periodontitis (which I think is a gum disease) anyway it makes her teeth loose too but she has had it for years and no tooth loss. In the meantime just don't eat anything that's real stressfull on your teeth (steak, jerkey, etc.). I wish you the best of luck. Write again so we know how your doing!
Reply:if your teeth are loose, your right , it is periodontitis.

you need your teeth scaled at the dentist asap, dont wait, see a private dentist (cost you about $90).theres nothing you can do youself to help while the tartar is stuck to your teeth.(if you wait it can cost you $3000 per tooth to replace.!)
Reply:Hey wow thats tough about the waiting list. For sure you have Periodontitis, i.e gum disease .its usually aggrovated by pregnancy, but you need thourough cleaning at home and by the dentist. for the meantime you can get a mouthwash from your pharmascist.
Reply:My teeth came out during my pregancies.. though with you it can be a gum infection. Do your dentist take emergencies? tell them that you have a tooth ache and they normally will see you.. other that that you have a big problem. Good Luck...
Reply:hmmm... sounds like you may have gum disease or you need some serious bridge work or you lack calcium. i suggest you go to your general dentist and im sure he/she will direct you to the required specialist. Any way dont worry if your teeth do fall out because now you can get real (or fake if you want) teeth rooted into your gums and it will grow naturally.

hope this info will be helpful

peace out

Reply:Most likely you have gum disease, and your teeth are losing ground. The wait list may prove detrimental to your dental as well as overall health. Try to get in explaining your situation is more an emergency than a cosmetic one. Without seeing x-rays an advice may not be correct. However, your teeth need to be splinted for stability.
Reply:Periodontitis is a big cause for tooth loosening, but not in your age group. I would be looking for more sinsister reasons like local cysts or tumour growths in your jaw bone. Go to an oral %26amp; maxillofacial surgeon, and get an OPG. Go to http://www.oceansurgical.com.au/ to find out more
